Before anyone says anything Bruce Banger is a sativa dominant hybrid I know. It got dropped for something else and is now getting tossed in this grow with indica dominant strains. So I guess this one is the Black Sheep of the grow. Started in soil with humidity dome under blurple veg light. Popped up in only 2 days.
Midway through week 2 of flower since light flip. Seems to be a very hardy easy to grow strain. Very vigorous and green. Immediately after light flip it started chunking white hairs. Did some light defoliation for air flow. Developed a cal/ mag issue on lower leaves. Removed those as well and will be adding cal mag to next watering. First experience with Banner genetics. So far so good!
Ending of week 2 in flower and Bruce Banger is really starting to take shape. Bud formation is coming on nice, looking like I'm going to have some nice plump colas. Has a bit more of a sativa look about it but can definitely see the indica hybrid. Leaves are big with long thin fingers. Strain has a very skunky aroma to it already. By the end of flower we should be stankin pretty good! So far Bruce Banger has been easy going. Growth started slow from seedling into veg, but once it got 6-8" tall it just took off. I did notice as it started popping pistols it was asking for cal-mag. Old growth with symptoms of the deficiency looked pretty bad so I removed them when I did some light defoliation. Added calmag to last couple waterings and haven't noticed any further signs of deficiency. I don't think I'm gonna see much more stretch from it, seems to be settled in where it's at.
Going into week 3 of flower and Bruce Banger is already swelling up and getting super frosty. Looking like it's going to be a good candidate to get pressed. This was a replacement order for a lost order from Seedsmen. I've read big things on this strain and so far am not disappointed. It seems to like calmag in a regular watering. Really started showing it in flower. After I started adding the calmag new growth looks much more vigorous and green. On a 12/12 schedule in the 4x4 with the THC Bomb.
Week 12 growing and week 3 of flower and Bruce Banger has a very sweet aroma. Buds are fattening up very nicely. New growth still looking good. pH pen got bit out of wack. Got it fixed, also watered with a compost tea, feeding with cal-mag and myzoz. I feel like these plants could be much bigger had they not been stunted when I was having environmental issues. That aside it's still looking to shape up into a nice harvest. Re amended with flower nutes and just letting her coast to harvest.
