This week is a strange one. Germination went great, soaked for 18 hrs in room temp tap water then transferred to wet paper towel for 48 hrs. Nice one inch taproot so planted in coco and watered with dechlorinated tap water ph'd to 5.9. Seedling sprouted in 36 hrs but I was I was waiting for a new light delivery so had to leave in the dark for 10hrs. Got home and she was standing tall about 3/4 inch high with her cotyledons still closed. Now, She is sitting under a brand new 2ft maxibright T5 with 2, 24 watt bulbs that give out 3300 lumens. Yet she won't stop stretching? Started the light at 12 inches as per recommendations, checked the following morning after 11 hrs and she had gone up another cm so dropped the light to 6 inches and left for 24 hrs. Still stretching when I checked this morning so dropped the light to 3 Inches from canopy. Hoping that's gonna stop the stretch. Also on day 2 (early I know) She got fed some roots and start from Shogun. Seems to have liked that.

Ok so this week has seen some great growth, but the colour is not looking good and I'm unsure what's wrong? The leaves have these faded yellowing patches and I suspect it's because I've over watered her. I don't think it's nutrient burn as she is in coco and needs weak nutes which I am giving, the bottle suggests a ppm of 1.2, I'm giving 0.8. I did a flush and checked the run off a few days after her first feed and the ph was fine. Gave another feed of weak nutes at 5.9ph thinking maybe she needs more nutes but that was 3 days ago and the fading/yelloing is getting worse. Is this nute burn? A magnesium deficiency? Water logging? I'm ruling out light burn as she it's a 48w T5 and the temp is fine. Any suggestions welcome. Cheers.

Hey guys, I've got some slight yellowing on the leaves, from what I'm reading it looks like abwarlterlogging issue but I'm not sure. New to growing so would really appreciate some advice before this gets worse. Thanks.

Ok good to know its not the lights, and good that you use the "small ones" for the seedling. Your Plant looks classy limegreen. Just alack of Nitrogen. I would go with anice dosage of a calmagproduct, because i see calcium def too. The most calmag product contain calcium, magnesium and nitrogen in 2 percent. That should be enough. The plant needs for photosythesis and building chlorophyll those components. In my opinion in every soilless grow calmag works wonderful and helps her very fast

Ok so another frustrating week! So this week I re potted her and moved her into "the big house" under new lights (GN Telos 0010) set at 70cm from canopy and perfect environment controlled by temp and humidity equipment. Now because of the cal mag deficiency I buffered the coco 2 times in an 8 hour soak in 150% calmag solution ph'd to 6.1 prior to transfer. Then after draining and getting to the correct temp I moved her to the new pot and topped with a light A+B feed. A day later I fed with the nutrients listed which includes 1ml/L of calmag and again the same the following day. Run off ph is spot on at 6.2-6.4ph, although it was 6.6 when I checked today and growth is great but this damn limegreen cal mag deficiency seems to be continuing. At this point I am hoping it's damage already done that didn't show when the leaves were young. The bottom leaves dont seem to be getting worse and some of the reddening on the stems has gone so fingers crossed this next week will see a change in green because I'm out of ideas, apart from making a foliar mix and trying that I'm stumped! The only thing I can think of is a flush incase of a nutrient lock out but I cant see that being the case as her nutes have been light. Even now with all the nutes she is getting the EC is only at 1.4. Thanks for reading, any comments/tips welcome as always. Happy growing!

She has had a good week this week, much better colour as the cal mag seems to be clearing up her deficiency and some great growth. Decided to top at the 5th node and did some light defoliation as she was very bushy in the centre with bad airflow and light penetration. I ramped up the nutes on one feed but quickly saw some nute burn on the tips so have scaled back to the same as before. She seems to be doing well.

Another good week! Not a lot to report really, had to do some more defoliation as she is like a little hedgerow if left alone. I also did some some very low stress training to help a couple of the lower branches get to the light, although I will probably cut those branches off and clone them in a week before she gets flipped.

Another great week! This girl just wants to grow! So I did some routine defoliation and LST on Friday as she was getting too bushy again and I was going to leave her to veg for another week but with the current growth rate at roughly 2cm per day I've decided not to veg anymore, hence the second round of trimming. This one was a lot more intense and I've stripped all the nodes and side branches off her in preparation to flip to flowering schedule tomorrow once she's had a day to recover from the intense trimming. 👍🌱🌴🌼

Another nice, trouble free week. She has responded well to the ramp up in nutes and is looking good now she's been defoliated (again!). Seriously girl would turn into a hedge if left to her own devices. Having to really keep an eye on the humidity and empty the dehumidifier twice a day but it's doing it's job so...... can't complain! Have a merry Christmas all!

Happy new year! Well it's been a great week! She has stretched well and is now sitting at 71cm jumping up from 55 last week. Great to see pistils and little baby buds forming, perhaps a few more bud sites than I would have liked but I can't really see how I could have defoliated her any more in her last week of veg.? Perhaps next time I will top her alot earlier as I am wanting to grow huge cola's not loads of smaller ones, but these are minor problems, all in all she is doing great. I was going to attempt super cropping but I decided not to risk it, this is my first grow and so far the topping has gone well and so has the heavy defoliation so I'm not going to push it this time. Apart from bending/removing the any leaves that are blicking light from bud sites I am going to leave her alone now and let her do her thing. Have a good week, everyone. 👍🍻

Ok so I had a fairly routine week until I discovered a problem up top! The new growth leaves at the bud sites were showing signs of nute burn, after checking my runoff the problem was clear as my runoff was at a nasty reading of 3.0ec! After reading up on the cause/solution...(no pun intended) I flushed with a 1/4 strength solution and ran 5L through to get the run off back to 1.7. Her vertical growth has finally slowed and just in the knick of time as there is very little room left to raise the lamp. Apart from that I am having to really keep on top of the humidity, my dehumidifier is struggling to keep levels below 50, I have another that can do it but that one throws out hot air and raises the temp too high, even with the extractor on. This will need addressing soon. Thanks for reading, have a great week.

Buds are slowly starting to fatten up, had another rise in ec runoff which I suspect is because she isn't getting enough feeds per day and salts are building as she takes up water. I'm fixing this by feeding more frequently for 24 hours at a lower ec (1.4) to bring her down to 1.9. Hand watering in coco is not ideal, the next grow will be done on a wilma system to allow for multiple feed per day which should also see even better growth. She's starting to smell great and there is some serious trichome production. Sugar leaves are sticky and the smell as the name suggests is like sweet blood orange soda. Can't wait to see how the buds smell after curing.

So It's been a great week! Apologies to anyone following as I'm a couple days late updating the diary this week due to work. Anyway, bud growth is really coming on! They're starting to fatten up nicely and the smell is just fantastic. Lots of trichomes as you can see from the pics and her parentage is really starting to show with those lovely bright orange pistils. The addition of PK warrior has certainly given them a boost but I have a feeling she is going to need longer than the advertised "8 weeks" to fully mature. We will see. Have a good week. 😁👍🌴

A very uneventful week. Not much to report this week, the buds are putting on their last bit of weight and the trichomes are only just starting to go cloudy. There are loads of bud sites that never took off for some reason, I'm wondering if I should have started the PK boost sooner? The manufacturer said to start in week 3 of flower so that's what I did. Maybe it's just this pheno...🤷‍♂️ Going to let her run for 7 more days on light strength fertigation then begin the flush next week. Soon be harvest time! 😁💨😎

Hey! Ok so I snapped one of my sattelite branches yesterday while doing some work on her, didn't break all the way off and only leaked a little from a small cut in the outer "skin" wrapped it in duck tape and propped it back up with a tie, should I let it heal or harvest it early

If the leaves on that branch don't look healthy over the next few days then I would just cut that branch off at the break and then just cover the cut with something to keep it clean so it doesn't stress the plant to much. I've done the same thing before and some act like they never broke while other just don't come back.

Hello all, another trouble free week here. Moved her off of the usual nutrients and she has a week of dragon force and sumo boost to ripen and finish off the buds before next week when she goes into flush for a week. Trichomes are all cloudy now so it's nearly time to harvest. Can't wait!

Well, the dragon force seems to have done it's job as advertised. Plenty of growth in the lower bud sites fattening them up nicely ready for harvest next week. She is in flush now for 7 days, possibly more depending on how she gets on. The pistils, as you can see from the picture have gone a beautiful dark orange/red. The trichomes are all cloudy and some on the uppermost buds are turning amber which works great for me as I love a heavy body high and couch lock. Not long now 😁🌴💨

This plant has been great from start to finish, very resilient to nutrients and deficiencies for that matter, I messed up early on and wasn't giving her calmag but she bounced back well and ended up with a great yield. She also had no problems at all with stress, she was topped and had several heavy defoliations and never slowed down or stressed. I am going to grow some more as this was a test run to see how it went first time, next time I'm going to mainline as this girl had way to many little popcorn bud sites. I never knew or thought trimming would take that much work 🤣. The buds have been curing for 2 weeks after drying for 1, Iv'e had them in mason jars with boveda 62's to control humidity while curing. The smoke is lovely nice fruity hash taste and a great high! The high comes in waves and is long lasting, first there's a big hit of uplifting euphoria more akin to a Sativa than an Indica which then mellows off and leaves a great chilled body high that still allows you to think or play video games. I have vaped and smoked it and the results are the same. A great strain with no paranoia or fear, I'm very happy with it. Final weight came in at 4oz. 😁 Oh and I totally forgot to weigh the harvest when it was wet so I'm afraid that will remain a mystery. 👍
