Considering taking clones in a few weeks. Waiting for ph meter to get here. There's a little bit of burning in the older fan leaves. Possibly pottassium excess? The potash i used this round was pretty strong.

What could be causing the yellowing/rusty burnt looking spots on my older fan leaves? My camera is is bad so you cant see it but there is also some newer, smaller growth that looks shiny and burmt with new growth twisting slightly

Hello outdoormaster, your girls are looking great. I cant see it on the picture but i understand your bottom leaves are yellowing up and rust spots. From what i can see you do a little lst. I recommend to open her up more and make sure there is enough airflow going through your plant and also the light reaches to the bottom leaves. Also what kind of nutrient are you using. I strongly advice to ph balance your feeding water around 6.5 for veg and more around 6 to 6.2 in flower. Hope this was an helpfull answer. Keep on growing my friend. Peace 👍

Im fairly new to cloning and want to know how to get clones with 2 branches per node. Last time I cloned my best plant the clone had lateral branching at every node and wasnt very strong in general. Its about 11 days into flower.

From what I know and have read I was under the impression a clone will never have symmetrical sides, but any part of the plant will clone although they recommend the lowest branches to be the best. Not every clone will work and not every clone will grow the same rate.

Cloning in flower has a much slower rooting time than in veg, depending on your skill with pruning and deleafing, I've always had the nicest most vigorous clones from tops, and end up withwhat you're looking for.. straight water is best until roots show, then 500 ppm for a week then up to 800 after, if you know the par and ppfd of your light, aim for a 400 par for preveg and 500-600 for veg to close the node spacing, deleafing fans in veg will accomplish the same. Cheers! DWCHC 👈👍

You would have to clone the growth closest towards the bottom of the plant where lateral growth hasn't hit yet as it does when she gets older and the new growth is all lateral .. it's easyiest to clone the bottom branches I just do mine in water and they take within a week then I put them into there homes ...

typically every node has 1 or 2 new leads, but to my surprise I noticed one of the plants had a thirbranch growing out of the side of the node. Cool but weird. The branches of GB want to grow straight up so lst and fan leaf tucking is pretty much essential to expose more future bud sites. (This is obvious but its just a trait i noticed is more prevalent on these plants.) I left one plant to grow untouched to see how she would grow naturally and I had to tie her down at about 5 weeks otherwise it woulda been wasted space. All in all i am very happy with how they are responding to my set up. Ph seems to be vest right at 6 6-5. My house water is horrible and i think switching to local spring water compost tea had been a huge help as well. Ive got some homemade fish emulsion made from pickeral and bass from this summer that i will utilize soon.

If it hermied, and they were feminized, pop a couple, might've surprised at what you find👌👍👈

@OutdoorMaster,, hey, I've popped white ones before, it's a total crap shoot whether or not they'll actually pop, if it was a female and it pollinated itself, the resulting seeds should be feminized yet showing genetic variation using the dominant and recessive traits of the parent.

@dwchc,interesting. I probably should have let them mature fully then and used the seeds. My strongest dankest plant was pollinated but i don't think the seeds are mature enough to use. Sucks, im in need of seeds too. Now i feel like a moron.

I’m so sorry you’ve found seeds. Still got some lovely looking buds there that’ll still get you buzzed. Onto the next grow. I’m guessing you’ve learnt a lot this grow? Take on the positives my friend. That leaf fade colour is beautiful 😍🌱😎

By the look of things the stretch is on 🤘 As said above mate you can still take clones to preserve the genetics but if your doing it I'd do it pretty quick mate 🤗 Until next time ✌️ Kind regards Team-HSO...

By the way, giving a flowering plants in mid or early flower set, potassium nitrate, can induce random 'nanners'.. the only time pot/nite is good for flowers is late in the game when there's no time left for the 'nanners' to form, a little bit of pot nite with a bit of sulfate of potash and some trace is a booster to bulkthem up before harvest, but be careful if your growing in soil as the window of opportunity is much tighter than hydroponics...
