A few signs of deficiencies and nutrient burn appeared on the plants. I don't have all necessary supplements to address the issues so I simply adjust the concentration on the one nutrient mixture I am using. Over all though with no training done and only a few leaves being clipped to help with air flow (occured during week 9) they are doing really well. It is interesting how they are both the same genetics, Master Kush Auto from White Label, yet ended up being on separate ends of the estimated height scale. I will note the shorter plant does seem to be about a week ahead of the tall plant in fattening up and growing its compacted calyxes. The taller plant is still shooting out early and advanced pistils with a few sugar leaves beginning to poke out in between the small calyxes. The aroma is very nice and fills the whole house with that distinct heavy indica kush smell, smells like walking into a dispensary when entering haha. A sort of peppery citrus incense with a little earthy note.
Found out what was causing the deficiency and pH burning, my pH meter was off by 0.8 Since realizing that I recalibrated the meter and have flushed the soil with FloraKleen (5ml/gal.) then a few days later gave a proper feeding with low strength nutes. Will pick back up with normal strength nutes next feeding, then not to much longer before I start the plants final flush (another 2-3 weeks I'm thinking for that big one, maybe 2 weeks for the smaller plant).
Short plant still needs another week maybe two. The big plant is hard to say, looks like another 3 or 4 weeks left on it. The smell is beyond fantastic, if I'm able to get a proper cure done these buds should be stellar.
The plants grew great! Unfortunately my pH meter began misreading without me realizing it and ended up causing a calcium/magnesium deficiency which greatly reduced the yield of the plants and kept my buds light and airy. The only training that was done to the plants was a little bit of fan leaf trimming shortly after flowering began. The short plant was cut down a week ahead of the big one. After 6 days drying on the stems I chopped off the nugs and started the curing stage. Even with a few days of curing the taste is pleasant, the smoke gives off that very hashy sort of incense aroma. I definitely recommend this seed bank and strain if anyone wants to produce concentrates, the plants have great resin production.
I guess when I posted my harvest update it didn't upload properly. Anyways the buds are great, one downer was the calcium/magnesium deficiency hitting right when the buds were starting to fill out. Other than that the taste is splendid, citrusy and a little floral when inhaled. On the exhale and after taste you get that old school hash flavor that sits on your tongue. It is not as powerful as a lot of the stuff out there but it does the job while providing a very flavorful experience.
it's very interesting to watch your diary. I wish you a huge harvest of buds.
