So the first week is over, 6 out of 9 germinated. I will put the remaining 3 seeds in some wet papertowels over night and hope they will do as their siblings. Wish me luck ;)
Day 11: Like you see, 2 of them are a little bit shy and growing a bit slower than the others. The 3 seeds which i put in papertowels didnt germinated, so i go on with this 6 plants. Starting to feed some nutrients and co2 the next few days.
Day 12: Started feeding nutrients.
So, my light broke on day 14 but my new lamp was already on its way to me. Still, my plants had to survive from the start of day 14 up to day 20 with my 20W LED desk lamp. Fortunately, they all did but as
expected the growth wasnt that big.
Day 17: Fed nutrients and co2.
Day 20: Just watered and the new lamp arrived.
Since i have my new lamp in the tent, most of my plants grew pretty well. Just one is a lil bit stubborn and doesnt want to grow its second node.
Well, i think i will give her time until the end of the week, when im going to transplant all of them in bigger pots.
Day 23: Fed some nutrients.
I discovered i slight yellowing on one of my plants and im suspecting a case of light bleaching, so i increased the distance between plants and lamp from 20cm to 40cm.
Day 25: The lil stubborn one finally started to work on its second node.
Day 26: Transplanted them into bigger pots and fed some nuterients. Since they are in bigger pots now, i will start to feed them only once per week, plus i will change my nutrients to the GHE Flora Series.
It was a rough week for most of my plants. After i transplanted them, i topped 3 of them and, sadly, this wasnt the only stress they sufferd. Im pretty sure i overwatered 4 of them, plus the same 4 started to get a nutrientburn AND a
magnesium deficiency.
So, what did i do for this amount of problems? Since i overwatered them, i didnt wanted to flush them to get rid of the remaining nutrients, so i just waited until today (Day 33) to water them again. But without watering i couldnt get any magnesium into the medium, so i mixed 2ml CalMag with 1l water and sprayed it on my plants to provied them atleast a lil bit of magnesium.
All in all, even if this week wasnt easy for my plants, i already see them try to recover from it and one of the topped ones is already on its way to grow its 2 new tops.
Day 33: Watered them with CalMag 1.5ml/l (200ml per plant).
It seems like they all have recovered from the overwatering-crisis. Today (Day 38) they all were pretty dry, so i decided to continue to water them with drain again.
Day 37: Started low-stress-training on 2 of them since their lower branches started to grow decently enough to do so.
Day 38: Watered and fed nutrients (500ml per plant, 10-20% drain).
#1 and 2 are growing pretty good right now, #3,4 and 5 are still recovering and sadly #6 is dying/already dead. I will keep #6 in the tent for this week, just incase a miracle will happen.
It looks like #1 has nutburn, so i watered her without any nutes, just PHed water. If it doesnt get better till next week i will give her a full flush.
Day 44: Watered (300ml-500ml per plant, ~10% drain)
Busy week, quick update:
- #3 and 6 died
- got a new 1000W LED light in the box
- transplanted #1 and 2 in their final pots and continued LST and topping on them
- #4 and 5 are still small, but the new light helps a lot
I took #5 out of the box, sadly the plant didnt made any progress over the last few weeks and since i want to start switching the light from tomorrow on, i got rid of it.
To get a better view on the plants, the old #5 is the new #3.
Over the next week i will reduce the light scedule, everyday i will give them one hour less until 12/12.
Also, on day 60 i took clones from #1 and 2, but i wont document them in this diary, since its just a first try on cloning.
Since yesterday (day 69) we are on 12/12. Like i said, over the last week i gave them 1 hour of light less per day.
Also, i defoliated them on day 66 and they are already on their way to get as bushy as before + they are growing pretty fast in height, so i guess the first growth spurt of flowering already started.
I will let them grow until the distance between them and the light is 30cm, at that point i will try to keep the distance.
On day 75 I started to see the first few pistils on #2, since then almost every main-budside has some.
Both #1 and 2 almost doubled in size in the last week, even #3 grown decent in height.
The smell is getting stronger but is still pretty weak, as long as i dont open my box, i cant smell anything, but i have the feeling this will change very soon.
Week 2 of flowering has ended and every one of the plants has showen sex.
At this point, #2 is almost twice as big as the other 2 plants.
Also defoliation became a weekly thing for me, because everytime i do it i see a lot of progress on the lower bud sites.
All of them are developing pretty good, the bud sites growing bigger and the leaves near them getting frosty already.
Last week i noticed that a few leaves started clawing, so i went down a lil bit with the Micro.
The smell is still not very noticeable.
The growth rate is slowing down, a few pistils are getting darker already and the buds on all 3 plants getting sticky.
They are still clawing a lil bit so i decided to give them a flush for the next watering and adjust the nutrients again.
Didnt defoliated this week cause the leafs didnt grow that much.
The clawing on #2 is still an issue i have, maybe i give her just clear PHed water for her next feeding.
The overall growth has almost stoped right now and the buds getting more dense.
So, since they all started to claw and get burned leaf tips again, i just watered them with CalMag.
Most of the pistils on #1 and 2 are transitioned in color already and the trichomes are started to turn milky.
