BeanswithPork *overture, hit the lights, ... etc. *
This is Super Silver Haze. The distributor is unknown but the mother is my other diary: Super Silver Haze Clone 2019 (I). This is a regular clone. Google says that Super Silver Haze is Original Haze x Northern Lights #5 x Skunk #1. It is projected as a 10 week flowering period. I would have started this clone earlier but I was a bit worried about temperatures (see other diaries). Now that things are good, lets continue.
I transplanted twice. The most recent was into a mix of 15 parts HP Pro Mix: 5 parts Fox Farms Happy Frog soil: 5 parts worm castings. I also added Myke Herbs and Vegetables.
My lighting is a cheap no name full spectrum LED. I also have 1/6th of that same light in a custom 3D printed casing and its own fan. Total this is 350Watts actual draw.

BeanswithPork Day 41 for this Super Silver Haze clone. A small set back this week as I was forced to spray some moonshine around to prevent pests, back again. No issues but I did sustain some accidental damage on S.S.H.’s leaves. I trimmed the spotted leaf matter and so this has slowed things down a bit. I am expecting a full recovery. In the background, I’m going to try to establish some ladybugs in my veg. tent for passive pest control.

BeanswithPork Day 48 for this Super Silver Haze clone. It has fully rebounded from any damage and just chugging along. Lots of new growth this past week. I will continue to give water as needed and look to transplant again next weekend. At that point some more room will be afforded in my veg. tent, and therefore more light.

BeanswithPork Day 55 since I cloned Super Silver Haze. I transplanted this week and did some major LST. My tent is very crowded so I’m hoping it gets a bit easier to manage as the branches start to grow vertically again. SSH is also intertwined with another plant which is hard to distinguish in pictures.
My soil amendment mix was primarily: 25 HP Pro Mix: 5 Fox Farms Happy Frog: 5 worm castings: 2 ASB Greenworld Sheep Manure Compost: 2 ASB Greenworld Black Earth: 2 ETI Greenhouse Gold Seafood Compost: 1 Blood and Bonemeal pellets: 1 Green Gaia mineralized phosphate (guano): 1 alfalfa meal compost: 1 dried used coffee grounds: 1 pulverized egg shells; and Myke Herbs and Vegetables mycorrhizae.
Just water and time. I would have a window where I could add this one to flower in four weeks... or more.

BeanswithPork Day 62 since Super Silver Haze got cloned. This was one of two that just made it through the gradual temperature dip to get big enough to still grow. However, I had to save the rest of my tent and do I diverted heat and installed a secondary thermostat To my furnace. This is keeping the temps around the ground much more consistent. SSH’s roots will adjust over time and then I expect a healthier plant. I’ve had to top regardless as I work the canopy. I need to dial in both the furnace and watering but I expect good things coming.

BeanswithPork Day 69 for this Super Silver Haze clone. SSH was already rocking in a poor environment so now that temps have been rectified the growth has increased. A little bit more space to work with and just regular topping to even out the canopy. Other branches are catching up and its looking more uniform. Lots of green. Just water.

BeanswithPork Day 76 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Like my other larger vegging plants, everything is looking great. Just on the verge of excess nutrients in a good way, lots of green and instant bounceback from topping. I don’t have any Super Silver Haze clones coming behind, so I will look to take some before flowering, but its parent is still alive in flower - albeit overnuted, and just underwhelming. Because of amendment problems I am extending some plants and so I will use patience here and give water and time allowing it to become bushy.

BeanswithPork Day 81 since I cloned Super Silver Haze. Everything is looking good. Riding the fringe of nutrient excess, and giving plenty of H20, this thing has really shot up. Not as much as its “sister” plant of another strain, but impressive leaps - healthy. I took clones earlier in the week and cleaned things up under the canopy.
So, ... my thoughts are that I said minimum one more week last update. Room as been created in my flower tent. 🤷♂️🏻 Ehhhh, lets do it - flower time. I’m impulsive.
I will be very careful this time around, I have been careless with nutrients lately, and don’t want any major flubs. I will continue with lots of water through stretch to assure all the nitrogen gets accessed, before I think about applying plant food. Yeehaw.

BeanswithPork Day 88 since cloning Super Silver Haze. One week of flowering complete, nine weeks to go. Haze is settling into stretch and although it may be a little overcrowded, things look good. I would say that I’m riding the limit of excess nutrients still which is why I am continuing only water. I am not flushing, but irrigating liberally at a regular pace. I won’t even feed until after the two week mark. No issues so far, stay tuned.
My flowering tent is slightly bigger than veg. tent and houses two of the full spectrum LEDs, identical to my veg. tent. I also have 96 watt worth of yellow spectrum LED, generally 500-800nm.

BeanswithPork Day 95 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Two weeks of flowering complete, eight weeks to go. Apologies, I think I must have messed up the plant height measurements the last few weeks - a bit shorter. I should point out that Super Silver Haze stretches less than some other strains when put into flower. So far so good, no major issues. Starting to form bud sites. I’m going to give water again tomorrow to ensure that the amendment is getting used, and then after it dries look to apply plant without not containing nitrogen.

BeanswithPork Day 102 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Three weeks of flowering complete, seven weeks to go. The smallest plant, but coming along. Bud sites are forming fine. I trimmed some fan leaves to clean things up. I fed some 0-10-10 Alaskan Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses, Plant Prod MJ Spike (MJ), and Earth Alive Big Blue Wave.
So, my good pal MaxPointy, too smooth for GrowDiaries, but the guy has some talents and various skills. Now he is making light pods from scratch. Real snazzy, with a 3D printed hood, and the attachment plastic (the purple) is all thermochromic ink which turns clear at 46 degrees Celsius, giving an added layer of monitoring. Each pod is 50watts of warm white LED which targets the yellow/red spectra ringing in at around $30 Canadian. This diagram is an approximation of wavelength.

BeanswithPork Day 109 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Four weeks of flowering complete, six weeks to go. Just water to report this week, I will report on food next week. I like the white little tops. I feel this strain may not be a giant yielder, but also this is a smaller sized plant going into flower - and it shows. Its crowded out somewhat but I’m hopeful to get some buds bunching and swelling. Its starting to put on that musty/pungent/dank smell, ohhh baby. Excited.

BeanswithPork Day 116 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Five weeks of flowering complete, five to go. The branches are spotted with bud, almost White Widow style. Already this plant has progressed past my last SSH, for example the pistils are red much sooner. Yesterday, I fed 0-10-10 Alaskan Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses, Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag), and Earth Alive Big Blue Wave. Everything is looking good! Small but modest.

BeanswithPork Day 123 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Six weeks of flowering complete, four weeks to go. The buds are spotty, but bunched and dense. Hopefully some more swell happens, but as last time I expect quality over quantity. The smell is really good, spicy, maybe woody, or pungent. Easier to describe as it is not sweet nor fuel like. Not sour. I am about to give food again upcoming. Lots of time left. Both angles of the group shot at the end.

BeanswithPork Day 130 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Seven weeks of flowering complete, three weeks to go. Ugh, reality check. I had a plant drop off completely and my refusal to admit it was soil amendment is over, yet another massive error down the line. So, SSH is also heavily over nitro’ed, and this becomes more evident when you consider the dark green foliage (still), and leafy bud. Total p***off. That slow burn that doesn’t reveal itself until weeks 4-6 and then its too late. I did feed food earlier this week, although it did not have nitrogen. 0-10-10 Alaskan Morbloom with blackstrap molasses, Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag) and Earth Alive Big Blue Wave. The latter product I am cutting out as well. I also changed my flowering timer back to 12/12. A reduced time does expedite the beginning of flower, it is not worth the lack of yield.

BeanswithPork Day 137 since cloning Super Silver Haze. Eight weeks of flowering complete, two weeks to go. We will never know if nitrogen limited this plant, but there is alot of veg. That being said, there are bunches of bud and the smell is a lovely musk/must, very sharp. I really liked the harvest I did get the last time. I want to flush everything out with two weeks to go, but I did squeeze in a very dilute feeding, more dilute than usual. 0-10-10 Alaskan Morbloom with Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag) and a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses. I didn’t want to completely deprive it of food if it can still produce trichomes like I am seeing. Great potential with this strain.

BeanswithPork Day 144 for Super Silver Haze. Nine weeks of flowering complete, one week to go. I am actually getting some leaf fade, this is good! I have commenced flushing as the buds are clearly finishing. If I could take out some veg. from earlier amendment, these things would be dense! Lots of crystal, which was my previous experience growing. The smell is still dank even with one week left. Strong musk. Just water as stated. My region got alot of rain so my humidity has jacked, plus the flushing.
Another time around with Super Silver Haze from an unknown distributor. I cloned this one myself and transplanted a few times during life.
The major life obstacle was cool winter conditions that I had to overcome with some DIY. By the very end of life this one did have some signs of pests on the lower leaves, just another reason to give a nice wash before hanging. It seemed able to resist the above on par with the rest of the garden.
Moderate yield, I don’t anticipate that SSH is routinely giving as much as other strains. However, I put it into flower as moderately small compared to the past; I likely mixed the soil too hot and was probably saved by such a long flowering time; I also think I’ve been overdoing it with secondary elements which I have cut back on some nutrient add-ons.
The buds are usually moderate size but they are sharp and pungent. A real musty, skunky sort of smell. If you took White Widow smell and blended it with smelling salts. Its quite harsh in a good way. Real burn the back of your throat aftertaste. Like the whispy buds, the flavour hits hard and fast and then fades quickly over the session.
One consistency is the high amount of trichome production. Firmly sativa, I find I feel it in my head, and eyes, and I get a little wound up. Nice effects though, manageable. Good blending in or as a mixer effect.
Will do again! This has comfortably integrated itself. I have a sea of green trio on the go that were clones of this one.

BeanswithPork Apologies upfront for missing the last week update. I normally try to do one more before harvest, but missed this time. I harvested after 151 days, ten weeks flowering.
I harvested after giving some extra darkness, and then wet trimmed. I immediately bud washed, that is, quickly dunking and swirling in a container of lemon juice, baking soda, and room temp water first, and then just a container of water second, before hanging to dry as normal.
