23—28th Nov. Finally I'm back on top of everything again. Did some thinning staking and a bit of light defoliation and maybe some pruning too. She's also liking my higher pH regime.
She began 11 days behind Moby Dick but now they look very similar in development. It was time to give them both a shave and a haircut. Found a moth had laid eggs in Shizzle so there was a bit of panic for a moment but all seems well now. I've gone back to topping at the 4th node and trying a single plant and now that I have I realise the benefit of putting two plants in the same pot but having less branches on both, if probably easier to manage. But I'll see how she goes to the end.
It's been baking hot but all plants including seedlings are doing well, so there's another myth debunked. Also the new regime of 6.3 instead of 5.8 is way better.
plenty of aggressive defoliation this week, she's now a fair bit bigger than Moby Dick XXL even though she's a week and a half behind. She's also begun to flower. She is very branchy but she seems easier to tend than Moby Dick. Temperature are about 32 during the day, none of the plants are showing any stress.
