growing next to NL autos from seeds man
germinated 8/12/19
put into paper towel to finish germination 9/12/19
11/12/19 seed popped with 1 inch tail, will be planting probably tomorrow i was hoping the other would aswell however the NL hasn't progressed as much as i would have liked.
12/12/19 seed into coco peat on for 18 hours until it grows a little, height of light is 24", had to swap tent because the zipper broke on my first tent so i just bought a brand new mother tent to grow in. 80x80x160.
Couple brown leaves not sure what's up + one NYC Diesel seed hasn't sprouted yet so I'm not happy about that, lil bastards hiding in there somewhere.
22/12 the new guy sprouted, he's a week behind but he will get there.
Watered on the 23/12 and again today on the 26th. No nutes yet as the leaves are just recovering.
So far watering ever 3 days with plain water, one plant has gone brown on the leaves, looks nice but unsure if it's normal as the other one same strain. Is a week or two behind but full green.
3/1/2020 this guys growing badly, still watering every few days but its looking like a phosphorous deficiency and im not sure how because im not soaking the pots and im not starving them to my knowledge so im waiting to see how it goes from here. trying to source information however alot of people seem to have no idea what is going on even the dude at the hydro shop had no clue and one person said either over watering or inconsistent watering however i always go via the rule of thumb if its still moist 2 inches deep its still fine for a day or so and i do check every 2 to 3 days. Good thing i got two of them down at the moment incase mr purple there doesnt make it. ill add photos to week 3 as its officially week 3 today.
3/01/2020 okay starting the week on a bad note, the plant looks bad not sure why still working it out. first grow ofcoarse there will be mistakes or gaps in my knowledge but heres one of them at the moment, the other ones going fine for now.
6/1/20 moved all plants into 2ltr pots ND moved outside into the sun. The purple one hasn't recovered it may be dead I'm waiting to see. I started using the hygen range week 1 with bud link, omegazyme and a few others at half dose then I flushed with water tof
Day and I'll refeed in a few days. The other ones looking promising for now....
8/1/20 just given them all half strength nutes again I'll water through on the 10-12th and then full nutes but the others are going well.
I'm about to chuck them back into the tent tonight or tomorrow now they have recovered.
Week 5 will start on the 17th because they are so far behind and I stunted them it's going to be a much longer grow.
11/1 Today I have them 2ltrs of water and again in 3 days I will give them full strength nutes for the first time so fingers crossed they won't die from this but they are definitely blooming.
The one I thought died has recovered so I'll continue to monitor it.
12/1 all 3 are doing fantastic after 1 night back in the tent. Looking forward to seeing the potential growth from these girls.
14th they got full strength nutes week 4 on the hygen range. Giving them 2ltrs each and bumping it up to every 2 days a week and then flushing with water before introducing a new nutes to the feed cycle.
17/1 Here she is at week 5 going great. Used week 4 mix but she's drinking alot I find I water every 2 days at this point.
I fed her on the 16th and will continue to water every 2 days from now on.
20/1 I just did some light defoliating as alot of the plant was covered and I'm worried it was too early but it's too late now.
22/1 moved all 3 plants back into the 18ltr fabric pots to help out and have them a flush. Upping the intake to 3.5 ltrs of water every 2 days possibly every 3.
Cut off some fan leaves because they we're blocking alot of bud sites. I am worried because of plant size but I'll have to wait a week and see if it keeps growing. I'm probably a few weeks off flower, 1-2 I'm guessing so I'm not sure what I should do in terms of feeding as IV been told keep away from the bloom just keep veg going until they grow of show white pistols then start week 6??
Out of my element here.
Growing great, will start week 6 nutes very shortly as they're starting to flower so it's about time to start. I won't do any topping as I feel it's too late so for this grow just lst. One is still behind about a week, not much I can do about that so will try to keep it on track with the others and grow for an extra week if needed.
27th the northern lights is starting to flower, these two hopefully grow a bit longer because they're all looking really short and bad yields and so are these two.
30/1 growing out wide, leaves covering each other so had to defoliate again and continue some more lst
Week 7 I forgot to water them yesterday and now I'm changing it up to every 2 days as they needed about 4ltrs today to get some run off.
1st Introduced ok top up at half strength and then diluted down a small amount as I forgot to drop the doses down as I can see nute burn from the last feed.
4/2
Watered today they needed 5 and a half ltrs each. After doing some lst I realised my tent is too small so I'm going to upgrade to a new one tomorrow I hope. Will feed again in a couple of days and hopefully have the new tent set up
The one that nearly died thrived and is tallest out of all 3. Amazing results I have high hopes for a decent 2-3 oz yield.
3rd the strugglers doing great she's thriving however not sure why her leaves are curling a little I just fed them like a day or two ago about 4 ltrs each??
Watered on the 6th plants looking great but they're growing together so I bought a new tent to help keep them apart.
Week 8 starts on the 8th
Week 8
Plants are going great, one in branching outwards the other is shooting for the stars. Hopefully there's some great yield off them.
Fed them 4.5 ltrs each today just to get some run off.
10/2
plants are growing, the NL is still small but the other two just keep getting taller. for a plant thats only suppose to get to about 75 cms tall its quite a tall plant.
Week 9 on the 15th
Fed them 3.5 ltrs of food each on the 14th, it was still the week 8 cycle but I fed them the week 9 as that start date is today and I'm not going to double feed them.
One is growing to size I can't raise my tent any higher and I'm still waiting for the new one to rock up!!! The other one of them isnt growing too big unfortunately and starting to Bud so I guess this may be the final height of this girl at 47cms same with the NL in the tent
Nutes are hygen range:
Cocobloom
Budlink
Pktop up
Humibooster
Sea essentials
Refer to the feeding chart from the hygen site in the coco coir grow.
15/2/20
Fed plant and accidentally snapped main stem when removing from the tent. I repaired quickly and I hope she will be okay, also fed the girls as their soil was cold but not moist. Put them in a veggie cage to help even out the canopy as she's still growing too tall for this tent.
Starting to feel the stress taking care of the plants every day or two and praying I don't screw up anymore and hurt my yields. Burning through nutrients so fast the next round I'm only doing 2 plants in a bigger tent though because it's so hard to move and take care of 3 at once with no space.
17/2/20
Will feed and re-evaluate how the new training cage is going
18/2
Fed them
21/2
Fed them and checked the bud sites whish are really forming well, I'm super excited to see this as it's all coming together.
22/2 week 10 will refeed week 9 nutes as they're a few weeks off I believe
Fed today 23/2 it is approx week 7-8 according to royal seeds but my count is about week 10 so I'm keeping week 10 on week 9 nutes then will carry on to week 12.
Did some defoliation on the smaller plant because she was so bushy!.
25/2
Fed them all today, heights are 106 and 57cms tall for the short one
27/2
fed the girls and some light defoliation to help keep everything in the light and i also cut off alot of the lower bud sites because they wont make it through the flowering process and just suck up nutrients, it may have been a bit late to do this but its done now. my second light is still coming, thanks to amazon for the overnight delivery my ass. also getting a new exhaust fan because my current one isnt expelling the humidity too well, its sitting about 60-80% so i have the tent door open with a fan and a dehumidifier so hopefully it will come down a bit more once i get the new exhaust fan.
28/2
fed them today, they are growing fantastic!
Week 11 starts on the 30th
Letting them go their own way at the moment. Gave them all a feed and just waiting to see how they go for this week and the next and then it's just flushing for 2 weeks until harvest
3/3
Gave them another feed, my coco bloom mix went milky and shit for the second time so I have to buy more. I'm thinking of changing formulas to advanced nutes and seeing how that goes.
6/3
i was extremely busy with work so they went an extra day without water, the fabic pots have some sort of white stuff on them im worried its mold but once i watered them again it vanished so ill take some pics if it appears again. i gave them a water and my ph pen also messed up tonight so its been one thing after another. i did some light defoliation and i also bought a 1000x usb microscope but im finding it very hard to gain focus or get it close enough to see the trichomes and see their color but from what i could make out they looked a little cloudy? id love to hear at what stages they start to go amber as id like to harvest before that stage. im starting to get orange hairs over them but its not 70% just yet. 1 more week of nutes from the 8th to the 15th and then its straight out flush for 2 weeks, im not sure if they're ready for that stage but if they're not i cant do much anyways ill have to harvest regardless on the 29th.
8/3
Week 12 nutes not sure they're going to be ready for a flush in a week I may have to put them on for another week then flush for 1 week. Anyone got any thoughts??
10/3
Gave them a feed, decided this is last week of nutes due to timing issues so I'll flush from the 15th for a week then hang to dry in the dark for a few days.
12/3
More feed and nutes, wondering if I should half the amount for the next feed tomorrow because after that I'll be flushing with just PhD water.
The time has come for the flush. Big girl started getting light burned I believe hence why she's gone square shape at the top. The small ones amazingly coated but not many red hairs at all. I believe it's a gene thing as the Mrs is a big smoker and she had some then fell asleep so always a good sign. I'll post harvest in a week or two, they're going on the racks in a week and then I'll see what the dry weight is.
900grams on the stem after trimming when wet. Waiting to see dry weights
125 off one plant and 76 off the other and that's crispy dry weight, we had a really humid day it was 100% humidity and the next it was 40 so it dries really quickly
@@Resin_Randy, yeah she's definitely sativa, all 3 are but suppose to be hybrid. I'm just finishing up the week then flushing for a week then drying and putting into jars whilst I'm away on my honeymoon
