Going for a quick one to make up for the last or harvest in the previous grow. Fingers crossed this goes without any major hiccups!
Think this will be the final single plant grow and will try a SCROG next time or something, but as I'm sticking with LST I've planted her to the edge of the pot as I hope it'll make it easier to train her across the diameter of the pot as I find it easier to train all in one direction rather than outwards or in a spiral.
Slowly does it. I'm sure that smart pots make plants grow slower, as my first blue mystic seemed bushier at a similar time in her grow and my previous grow in a smart pot also seemed slower on the uptake.
I'm all for the positives of smart pots, but I was wondering if this is a negative trait of growing them in there or perhaps its just genetics 💪
either way the node distance is nice and tight.
Still seems to be going well, not much to report still, which is good as nothing bad has happened yet!
Have been working on a new carbon filter for my 120mm pc fans, ive hooked up the back bits and will wait until they're needed to fill with carbon and assemble.
Still don't feel like she's big enough to train as I don't feel the nodes are far enough apart and she's looking limp, i think I've over watered.
Might win an award for the smallest, most underdeveloped plant ever....don't get me wrong I couldn't keep a huge bush, but this is ridiculous. Im so sure its the smart pots doing their job, just a bit too well with air trimming of the roots.
I was very tempted to abandon this one and start again with some proper pots, but i feel like I've gone too far and as she's started to flower I might as well waste another 8 weeks.
I got a new puppy so im massively distracted now. Still disappointing grow from this one, but I wouldn't say she looks massively unhealthy, which is a plus. Ill see what happens in the coming weeks. As she is so small I don't need to filter the cab as theres practically no smell.
To be honest, with no nutes, she's not looking like bad or anything, just lacklustre. She's starting to smell though which is nice, obviously because so small nothing major and no carbon filter needed yet, but its nice.
Not much to report, she's getting a bit hairy and a small amount of shimmer is beginning to appear. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks. i suspect the leaves are going to start looking nasty once she's eaten up all the soil has to give her, but you never know...
Starting to smell a bit now so ive hooked up the home made carbon filters. So far so good. Nothing is every 100% smell free, but i think its doing a pretty good job.
Considering her small stature it looks like ill at least get something to smoke from her, even its its only a few joints!
Starting to look unhealthy, but thats most likely due to a bit of neglect on my part and the continued lack of nutrients. Still, theres some bud there.
She's soon to be chopped, I'm bored of her and her manky looking ways!!
TBH trichs are a good ratio of milky/amber so im just going to go for it. The main cola has done a little swell over thee past week so i think thats all she's got as well.
Tried to get some pictures of the trichs, but so difficult with my shaky hands so come out blurry as shit. However there are still quite a few clear ones left so seems like ill be waiting a bit longer for her to be ready. Considering the shit show that its been, doesn't look as terrible as I thought she was going to be.
Gave her the shop and am currently drying her out. Didn't bother weighing as it'll be pitiful. Ill see what the dry buds get up to once they're ready for curing.
Despite the shocking outcome of it all, the buds are super dusty and the smoke does pack a surprising punch, so at least theres a small silver lining there!
