Seed planted directly into soil 12/7. Sprout above ground on 12/12. Started officially counting the first week of veg on 12/16. Sprout came up nice and green. Using a 1 gallon airport. Watering with RO filtered water. I did not have a pH meter the first week so I was not sure about pH. Small fan in the tent trained on airpot. The soil seems to dry out super fast, so I was watering about 2 times a week the first week.

End of week 2 and things aren't going so good. My cotyledons are completely yellow and my other leaves are starting to turn yellow too. All leaf tips showing signs of what looks like nite burn. Stem is purple in color. I think my water pH was too high, so past couple of waterings I used distilled water to try to flush it out. I'm concerned this little girl won't make it. Planted on 12/7 and sprouted above soil on 12/12. Planted in small airport with 2 parts Black Gold Natural & Organic soil mixed with 1 part perilite. Soil dries completely out in a couple days so Ive been watering every 3 days. Everything looked great first week and then it's been gradually getting worse since. Very little growth for a plant going on over 3 weeks since seed.

Any help of what is causing the yellowing of my seedling leaves? I'm using "Black Gold Natural & Organic" pitting soil. I think my water pH was originally too high so I have been using appropriate oh past couple of waterings. No nutes introduced yet.

Wet feet you have a root problem form over watering. Dry her out some and raise your RH to 60-70%. Give her a misting of 25ppm of epsom salts under the leaves when the lights go on.😎

I suggest using a dropper. I literally dropped around 1ml to 2ml of water around the seedling. The I went up from there to half of cups etc. Cote leaves generally fall off and die fairly quickly. Keep an eye on the main leaves for signs of distress. As long as you fixed the ph and back off on watering, you should be A O K👌

Hey Deez, It looks like you are overwatering. Seedlings only need a little bit of water. When your soil is too wet, the roots suffocate from lack of oxygen. I would let it dry out until the first inch of soil is dry before watering again. She will improve and start growing again. Your pH is also a little high. Plants in soil seem to like the pH around 6.5. Good luck!

She unfortunately died. I thought I was overwatering so I withheld water for a week to see if it would cause improvement. I think I actually may have been underwatering the whole time. Between the perilite, airport, and low humidity I think there was no water retention at all. Oh well, live and learn!

Hello start again with PH level 6.2.. next watering aim slowly to 6.5 (for week2 cca). How visions told you.. use some syringe to watering for first week. you can dropping only small drops of water and fully control your watering shedule. I also noticed that you himidity level is really low. try seedling on 80-70% then aim to 60% atleast for good moisture. Thats basically all you need to start with. It really depends how many nutries has your mixed soil. I am using plagron lightmix with perlite. for rist week you dont have to add any nutries and then you can start to control your grow :) dont give up... i killed many plants before week 4 when i start to growing :D
the end.
