Also started monday night, put in the dirt this morning with nice long sprouts. Place clear solo cups over the sprouts as the humidity can drop a bit.
Soil mixture:
Pro mix Organic veg and herb: 12gals
Seafood compost: 12gals
Mother Earth vulcanite pumice: 12gals
Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4: 10cups
Gaia Green Bloom 2-8-4: 4cups
Two to the three beans have broken the dirt, the third one is just about to come up! Carbon filter added saturday night as well as duct work, more flexible stuff! Have also added a TBN co2 canister for heat and growth. Light has also been lowered to 30 inches. I will be using U-Cann organics on this grow, grow and bloom, a Gaia Green product. The soil was preloaded so i'm going to guess around 3-4 weeks they'll need a feeding. Im not really sure about training yet as this is my first auto grow, really my first indoor. So i might just do some LST in week 4-5 pending growth.
Day 19 for GSC and looking fine. We're missing one pheno for this batch of three. I dug her up and found that the tap root had curled up and out of the dirt and dried out. Everything seems to be looking go so I'm not going to do any feedings. Pheno 1 is 4.5 inches tall, pheno 2 is 6 inches tall. I might LST the bigger pheno next week.
Day 26 and you can really see the difference in the two phenos. Pheno one is 11.5 inches tall and pheno two is 16 inches tall. One is a little more compact than pheno two, I think I like the look of pheno two the best just how she bushed out a little more. I have added to Can intake filters to the tent and replaced my diy one, wow was it ever dirty it was kind of hard to believe how much dust and crap i was able to catch before it went in the tent. One of the intake filter is on the HID set up and the other is on an inline fan on the floor, I don't have it plugged in right now as theres no need for it but the air is getting filtered and pulled through. I have also put a positive pressure into the hood set up, With a few comments from some growmies on here to make the cooling more efficient, this was just set up today so we'll see how it plays out shale we. Anyways peace out for another week growmies!
Day 32 and were now into flower for both of these beautiful ladies. Ive been working on not pulling leaves off to limit stunting and slowing them down but the leave tucking only seems to work for a few hrs and then there popped back up again.... but thats alright with the older leaves still on i was able to catch a calcium deficiency in pheno two, I applied some oyster shell flower 2 Tbsp (Gaia Green) along with there bloom feeding of 2-7-7 at 3 Tbsp per pot. I really should have LST this crop as some are getting pretty high with the tall pots that I have, but lesson learnt not really a hard one but learnt for the sativa strains. Leaving tomorrow morning for work till day 47, It always interesting to see the the girls after a two weeks away at work what a difference you seen when opening the tent! Anyways growmies we'll catch ya then!
Working on day 47, 17 days into flower and one of these GSC what really taken off she's stacking up well. Dealing with some cal mag problem in these as well, did a flush with 4 gals per pot and will amend the soil on the on the next watering after we get a nice dry. Will be using bloom and oystershell flour. One of these ladies had some lst done to her as she was just way to close to the light. Did some defoliation with all the girls in the tent to try and open things up a bit, I know autos but things were pretty crazy and a lot of bud hidden. The intake filter for the hood works very well the glass inside is very clean after 28 days, just gave the outside a quick wipe and good as new. Ive got the temps back down a bit and holding strong at 25, when I checked the tent it was running around 28, highest being 30 at one point not sure how long that went on for but it's all fixed up now. Its a working progress learning indoor growing 2 weeks at a time but hey it is what it is and were having fun. hope you enjoyed.
These girls are really taking a beating with a cal mag issue, I have been adding 5 mil per gal on every watering for these girls, it seemed to have slowed it down a bit not totally. I did notice growth started happening on them again after the cal mag. Its day 55 , flower 25 days, harvest is somewhere between 65 and 75 days the flush won't happen on these girls for a bit as they still have a lot of clear yet.
day 60 for these ladies, one got the chop today, she was pretty much ready cal mag also got the best of her. Pheno one is still just ripping so she's bing left alone for another 2 weeks i'm sure she'll be ready by then.
Well these girls were pretty good for my first rip at autos, one really produced for me but.........went to mould honest mistake by the ol lady it is what it is move along and keep growing. i get a sweet smell that over powers everything when the jar is cracked. it really smooth smoke i would deff grow this strain again thats for sure. I did have a wicked cal mag problem that was to far gone but they still produced thankfully
so the top cola on the bigger GSC was 33g by far the best looking bud i grew to date but like i said went to mould doesn't matter what happened really all i know is i couldn't wait to smoke it! but it's ok we'll giver again. the bigger GSC was 62 grams and the smaller was 48. GCS was very easy to trim and didn't take anytime at all. overall i'm very happy with OSS for sure would grow there genetics again!!!
@Hellishjam, LOL - yeah, any time after a few weeks "off" it's always worse for sure... but the strain definitely matters I find. Personally, the kush variants are low on the munchies scale so I lean towards them, especially since they're also good for bedtime. GSC, on the other hand, is what I kind of think of as a "party time" strain.
@Njaak, after my two weeks away and coming home the tolerance isn’t top notch so I’m floored everytime and clean the kitchen right out, don’t matter what I smoke but this one could be worse by the sounds of things 😂
GSC looks great...nice work. My GSC stash is getting hit hard during the stay at home. I use GSC for appetite...fitting given the other feedback you got.
Love the dedication to growing man. A million plants outdoor looking good despite never ending winds, and a shit ton inside too! Kudos! Keep up the good work sir.
