Started my first week of flower on 11/11 with full 24 hrs of darkness. 12/12 light cycle was started on 11/12. Clipped fan leaves to allow more light penetration to lower side branches.
Side Note: These ladies were propagated from three mothers. I initially cloned 24, eight of each strain. 23 survived and only one TD didn’t make it. Gave away two of the TD and left with eight CT, eight CC, and five TD. Medium is a mixture of coco coir. earthworm castings, perlite, and vermiculite. Used a mixture of Mexican Bat Guano @ 8-3-1 and Peruvian Seabird Guano @ 12-11-2 for vegetation feedings. Vegged for 4~5 weeks. This grow is strictly ORGANIC.
Started off week 2 of flowering on 11/19. All of the ladies look good with the Tangerine Dream being the only set of clones to start showing bud sights and not just pre-flowering. Did a significant amount of clipping and clipped most of the fan leaves on the main colas of my ladies and side branches too. I also began playing classical music for them!
True to it’s genetics my Tangerine Dreams are putting off numerous side branches with side branches coming off those branches! Since flowering my Cotton Candy has grown the most. Before flowering it was just barely half the height of my TDs and now they’re taller! As for the Chronic Thunder it’s always been the tallest but in flowering it’s focus has all been on the side branches without me even topping it.
Sorry for the lack of updates for week 3 and week 4! Start of week 5, 12/10, things are looking very good. The ladies have begun putting on exceptional bud structure and haven’t even begun to build their density! To say I’m stoked is an understatement. Was hand watering but had to come up with something fast so I didn’t accidentally break colas at the last stages of flowering! Yikes! Watering system is a fifteen gallon feed trough, 290 gph submersible aquarium pump, 1/2 inch poly flex irrigation tubing, 21 transfer barbs, and the necessary tubing for the transfer from main line to plants. I have four airlines feeding into the trough to help and create the guano tea.
Decided to add some molasses to my organic brew. I felt as though my buds weren’t swelling up much so decided to extra some extra carbs for these last few weeks of flowering to see if it’d do the trick. I’ve also started noticing that my hairs are very slightly starting to turn amber on a few of my Chronic Thunder and Cotton Candy.
