Super keen for this one! Haven't tried a truly couch-locking strain yet.
THE ROOM
1.2x1.2x2m tent
Coco/Perlite blend 70/30
600W MH for veg and HPS for flower (although they'll be stuck with the HPS for a bit until I harvest my caramel auto)
11L fabric pot
Took two days to pop this one, then she went straight into her 11L pot. 36 hours later she sprouted.
I had some set-up issues for a day which resulted in some light burn, but everything is in the right spot now so fingers crossed.
So far Skywalker is growing well! A good size for her first week.
Nothing dramatic to report! Lil Skywalker seems to be right on track, growing at a good clip. :) Still undecided if I'll top her or not, will make up my mind in the next few days.
This chicky is really nute sensitive. She isn't terribly thirsty, even after 5 days she didn't seem to need much. I did one feed at 1.5ml A and B like the other girls but she threw a tanty so I've dropped her back to 1ml/L. Will have to keep a close on eye on this girl!
Still seems a little slow, but she might just start that way. :) Sorry for the ugly looking LST - I started getting her all tied down then I took a chunk out of my finger with the scissors trying to put a new hole in the pot. 😭 Much blood. Silly Tonks. Then we got super busy lol so I'll have another crack at organising it soon!
Slowly but surely getting more thirsty. I kinda fixed the LST but it was a bit late so the canopy is uneven... The lower nodes are shooting up now, just hope they get time to establish themselves before the flowering gets too far underway. 😬
Still truckin along! Starting to get some nice frost. Not a huge amount of bud sites on this gal compared with what I'm used to, but most likely that's due to the half-assed LST. Just couldn't give her the attention when she needed it, was a hectic couple of weeks :(
Still I reckon she'll be fire, flowering nicely, just gotta wait and see how she chunks up.
Skywalker is getting really pretty! Very white and sparkly. I think I've got her nutes on track, she had some trouble earlier but seems to be going great now. :D Gave her a bit of defol day 47 to try and get light down to the lower buds.
She's a quiet achiever this one, just plodding along without much fuss. :) Bit of tip burn but nothing dramatic. Cause of the half-assed LST I did on this one the colas were all kinda bunched together, so I tied down the base of all the branches on day 52 to spread her out a bit and get light down to the lower buds. Seems to have helped a lot, no idea why I didn't do it earlier. Brain fart :P Now just waiting for her to bulk up! Might be another 2 weeks before I flush.
Not too much going on again this week. She's bulked up a little more, still not uge but as has been said the yield should still be ok, and she's plenty sparkly so should be a great smoke. :) I'd like to keep this one going a few more days before I start the flush, see if I can push a little more out of her.
Flush time! Flushed this gal with molasses for 5 days, then plain water for 3, then dark and dry for a couple. I'm currently halfway through trimming her so will update in a couple weeks with the harvest and smoke report. :D
I think I neglected this girl a bit when she needed the most attention - when I was starting her training I took a chunk out of my finger with the scissors and had to refrain from fiddly stuff for a while. Still numb 8 weeks later, mebbe shoulda gone to the doctor. Meh.
Anyway, due to my terrible training couldn't get the best out of this girl, but it's easy to see that's entirely user error, she loaded on the frost early and grew beautifully. Smells amazing too!
Waiting on a cure for the smoke report. :)
Overall Skywalker is a great strain, easy to grow, frosty and pungent, huge bag appeal. :D Definitely gonna try this one again and do a better job. Sorry!
Lots of bud sites and you opened her up nice for that light to get in there, think she's going to really start fattening up in next few weeks, nice job bud 👌
