I had a cheese plant go herm on me last season and it ended up seeding a haze XXL auto i was growing. I bagged 18 seeds and figured that genetically speaking I potentially had feminized seeds with a little Ruderalis in there. Let's see what we get! 3 seeds planted in late October in 5l pots. Soil mix of potting mix and good quality organic compost.
First week of Jan - two weeks since the summer solstice. 3 for 3 females as I suspected. They are all starting to flower whereas my other girls in the garden have only just started showing their sex - assuming that's the Ruderalis in her.
We had a mega load of rain over the last few days and sadly I lost a huge NYD to stem rot. Anyways I new February in Durban was going to be a challenge. The soil doesn't drain very well where I live and unfortunately it just got too wet for too long. All the other plants are looking healthy and I did do treatments around their crowns with some peroxide followed by fungicide (organic oils). The haze x cheese is looking epic this week, buds are getting really big. Spotted some PM on some lower branches so I cleared out some undergrowth and have been pulling the odd leaves I see. Nothing too bad. Humidity has been 100% at points. Getting awesome hints of limone as I walk through the garden. Can't wait!
Wow wee this girl is starting to look really promising! The PM I was seeing on her a week or two ago has cleared right up. Buds are getting really big, the smell is also cranking up - I can smell Haze in the breeze from like 20m away. We've had some heavy bouts of rain and I've been keeping my eye out for the Rot but so far so good. Sunny week ahead and then she may come down before the next big rain. Mainly just getting bokashi tea and the odd enzyme or worm tea now and again. So excited!
