New. First time logging a grow here. Be gentle.
Been dealing with cold temps/slow growth. Seedlings in boiler room until they're established. Then off to the 4x2x6 tent.
65% double buffered coco coir + 35% coarse perlite.
Seeds germinated in solo cups then transplanted to 3G fabric pots.
Germinated 2/20 - Sprouted 2/25
👊
A good week of growth. She's blowing up now. I apologize for the photos. I rushed and couldn't be bothered.
Everything remains the same. Nutrients, light, humidity, temps... I should've already moved these into the tent. Next week for sure.
The girls are doing great, moved them to the grow tent. Upped the nutrients a bit & started some MOAB. Everything else remains the same.
Temperatures are lower in the tent and nighttime gets as low as 63F. The daytime/nighttime swing is less than 20 degrees so we'll see how they respond.
Stretched and putting on weight now.
Nutrients remain the same despite being slightly hotter. Just had a little heavy hand today.
Extended 'day time" to 20 hours.
Temperatures remain lower than I'd like and humidity is higher than I'd like but well within range.
Weak smell but has started getting stronger. Using the filter now.
Stay safe, everyone.
Got busy this week and the girls got neglected. They dried up a bit and started taking nutrients from the leaves. Fed & addressed. They're better now.
Nutrients remain the same again this week. Next week we bump the mkp up and start adding some sweet. Nice pungent aroma has really started to kick it up a notch this week as well.
Notes: I'm almost always defoliating as needed. I have no fear of stunting growth. The girls can take it. The girls love it.
Happy Easter, Passover and all that stuff.
Till next week... 👉Fire it Up!👈
The girls are having some issues. Stress, deficiencies, etc... I always start to have problems around week 4/5 of flowering and I am terrible at diagnosing and treating the problems.
So what have I been doing about these problems the last several grows, you ask? Nothing. Nada. Zip! I like to keep things simple and I've learned I can just keep chugging along and before anything becomes a real issue it's harvest time. The buds have been top quality, potent as fuck and taste fine. If the end product ever suffers then I'll address the issues. But until then I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. method.
Bumped the mkp to 1g/per gallon and started with a sweetener @ 1g/per gallon. All other nutrients remain the same.
This will remain the recipe through week 5 of flowering. At week 6 we'll begin to gradually reduce nutrients.
The girls are starting to stink big time. I'm terrible at describing smells but it's a combination of musky citrus. Very pleasant smelling. Strong. If they smell this much now they're gonna absolutely wreak closer to harvest. I'm gonna have to change my filter.
Until next week... 👉Fire It Up!👈
I apologize for the lack of updates. It's been busy here... This is an incomplete, photoless week 9 update.
Nutrients, conditions and everything else has remained the same since week 8.
The girls are suffering from heat stress and deficiencies but this close to harvest it doesn't matter.
I'll be updating "week 10" later today, properly, with photos.
Week 10, Day 41 of flower.
Let's be honest. Somewhere I misjudged something. I lost a week. Or something. I'm high AF...
Anyway... The girls are looking... not too great... but we're near the end...
They're scoping somewhere around 60/40 cloudy/clear trichs. Once we're mostly cloudy/some amber we'll get ready to harvest. Could be another week...?
Calyxes are swollen, pistols are brown and retracting. Absolutely caked with trichs.
Sweet, silica & calmag have all been reduced and we'll reduce everything even more this upcoming week. (All nutrients should already be at weaker doses at this stage. This is what I mean by I lost a week somewhere. This grow is ahead of where I thought it should be.)
No, I dont flush. No I do not put them into a darkness period.
Once I see what I like on the scope we plan a harvest day. So from this point on we're taking it day by day.
Take care. Stay safe. 👉Fire It Up!👈
I'm terrible describing smells... tastes... I was already pretty lit when I smoked a bowl of this and it still sent me to the floor. I'm dumified right now.
Nice pungent, earthy taste. Smooth hit expanding nicely in your lungs. Strong. My head feels like it's filled with lead. It's wonderful.
Easy to grow. Takes bondage and training like a champ. This girl loves to drink! Keep an eye on her.
That's all I got.
This grow was thrown together real fast... kind of neglected... and more or less kept super simple. Pretty much trained them early and left them alone while defoliating each week as needed. Both girls became stressed and deficient the last few weeks which I didn't even try to remedy. I'm sure it affected yield but I just wanted to keep things easy...
I was aiming for 6oz/per plant. I ended up with 10oz. I'm fine with that considering.
it was worth it! These buds are sticky, covered in trichs and dense as cork. lul. YEah... just smoked a bud...
