UmFzbXVz Time to grow some organic medicine for dear ol' Mamma!
As usual, seedlings in this soil has a discoloration of the leaves of the first ~3 nodes. Nothing to worry about; the soil is just really hot from the get-go.
I plan on LST'ing these girls into a nice wide canopy once they hit week 3 and again when preflowers show. No topping or heavy defoliation, since they're autoflowers.
Green Crack (https://2fast4buds.com/seeds/green-crack) has a flowering period of 9-10 weeks.
CBD Crack (https://2fast4buds.com/seeds/cbd-crack) has a flowering period of 9-10 weeks.
Having sprouted the same day and share flowering schedule, the synchronistic nature of this grow should make things easier.
I expect harvest time around ~19th of May 2020. (4 weeks of veg + 10 weeks of flower).
Yield, based on 10L pots and organic nutrients, should be ~50g/plant.
UmFzbXVz Second week done. They're coming along nicely, but with signs of water related stress on CBD and some weird splotching on GC.
I still haven't watered the soil after the seeds entered.
Next week, when recovered from LST, I'll bend them the over way. Week after that, I'll tie down all branches and wait for flower.
UmFzbXVz Having had a quite turbulent, stressed and deformed week of growth, both girls are finally getting to a decent size where they can fight for themselves.
Growth rate is increasing day by day. It probably won't be too long before they start showing pistils.
Hopefully I can still train them into a wider, flatter canopy -- their current shapes are undesired.
It would be really nice to get another full week of veg to flatten them out a lot more, but whatever happens we'll deal with it.
UmFzbXVz CBD 1.1 aka CBD Crack took very well to training and immediately bushed out in an even canopy. The same thing can not be said about Green Crack -- despite sitting in an identical environment as its sister, it takes ~24 hours to recuperate from LST, where as CBD is ready for another tie-down in a matter of hours.
Regarding overall health and growth, the CBD Crack really is superior.
Main stalk is too rigid for further training in both plants, but I will try to tie down stretched limbs during the coming week. Something I have not attempted so far.
UmFzbXVz It looks like the vegetative phase is over; both plants are starting to stretch and pop a lot of pistils from the tops of shoots.
I am fairly satisfied with the LST and wideness of canopy.
Change in environment: 20/4 -> 12/12
Water pH: 7.5 -> 6.0
I am growing both Green Crack (top left) and its CBD counterpart CBD Crack (top right), both from the same breeder.
Both plants have identical environment and feeding schedules.
UmFzbXVz All sorts of things are happening this week: budsites are fully formed, the stretch is going wonderfully well, and the smell -- phew.
I will no longer pull the girls out of the tent to photograph them; the smell is overwhelming within seconds and will likely give away my grow! Pungent hops and herbs all over the place.
Green Crack has caught up to its CBD sister and they are now competing for space at equal pace.
CBD Crack has a very nice blue tint to it. Phenotypic expression it's called, fellow grower Grey_Wolf commented. Hopefully the other seeds from the same package will show a similar tint.
Change in environment since last week:
Night air temperature: 16C -> 15C
Day air temperature: 21C -> 19C
UmFzbXVz CBD Crack is my all-time favourite plant to grow so far. It's so sturdy, healthy and fast!
I lowered the lamp ~10cm to relieve the improper μmol for Green Crack; it's now perking right up and looking decent.
UmFzbXVz Both girls have packed on some serious buds this week. With the internodal spacing this tight in flower, the final nuggets are gonna be super super dense!
Change in environment:
- None
Change in feeding:
- BioBloom 0 mL/L -> 3 mL/L #Time to kick the flower production up a gear!
UmFzbXVz Both plants are really taking off, densing up those pretty alien-looking flowers. They are smelling like herbs, mango and freshly mowed lawn (including diesel fumes). Delicious!
Green Crack is overall a bit slower and has more sativa-looking leaves than its sister, making me think it's a 50/50 hybrid. It'll probably take a few weeks longer to finish up.
CBD Crack is a very compact little beast with broad indica leaves. 70/30 indica hybrid perhaps?
No changes in environment.
No changes in feeding schedule.
UmFzbXVz Their combined smell is stronger than anything I've ever experienced when growing cannabis. It is unreal. A deep, musky, skunky stench. Love it!
Both plants are doing well. Thriving and fattening up. CBD Crack is ahead of the curve regarding flowering; her buds are enormous already.
Green Crack needs another 2 weeks to catch up at this point.
To get a little more air flowing through the branches and flowers, I've defoliated ~20% of the total canopy.
From this point on, CBD Crack is only getting plain tap water. Considering the trichomes visible on Day 69, I expect her to finish up in another fortnite, making this a fine point to start flushing this still-hot soil.
Green Crack will be getting full nutrients as it takes longer to finish.
UmFzbXVz I chose to cut down the CBD Crack at this junction in time due to the receiving person not liking the sedating effect of CBN. I will add a Harvest week for her once dried and cured a little.
Green Crack got a defoliation and was put closer to the light for the final 1-2 weeks. I might start flushing her from now on.
No changes in feeding schedule.
Change in environment:
- Temperature (Day: 20 -> 22)
- Distance to lamp (30 -> 25)
I tried a Sativa-pheno Green Crack prior to growing my own. I was blown away by the energetic high and clear mango taste.
However, my own Green Crack sprouted as an Indica-leaning pheno, making the high significantly different to what I was expecting. Not a bad high at all, but certainly different.
She started out with some twisty leaves with splotches and she didn't stretch too much hitting flower. Not the easiest strain I've grown, but definitely not the hardest, either.
160C:
Flavours of citrus-y herbs
+ Slightly energetic
+ Clearer vision
+ Anxiety melts away
+ No dry mouth/eyes
180C:
Flavours of fresh fruit with flowery undertones
+ Happy
+ Slightly energetic
+ Cerebral sativa high.
- Super dry mouth
(About 30 minutes in, it slithered into a nice muscle relaxing and pain reducing experience.)
+ Pain reduction
+ Relaxing
210C:
Flavours of nuts and indescribable sweet herbs
+ Body high with almost no head high, just pure body relaxation. I had to lie down.
+ Mellow
+ Visuals (closed-eyes visuals, objects pivoting and "breathing")
- Couch-lock
- Dry eyes
Overall, I am not too impressed with the indica pheno of Green Crack -- however, I am germinating new seeds of this very strain just to get the sativa pheno I know and love.
Thanks to @Fast_Buds for breeding this stuff :)

UmFzbXVz She started out with twisty leaves and splotches. Comparing her to other growers who had similar issues, I chalked it up to a bad batch genetics-wise.
Once she got going, she did pretty well. Not as well as her CBD sister, but well enough to not get frustrated.
Took longer to finish than advertised, but that's to be expected. She dried and cured well.
No mold or diseases, but genetically weak(er) than many other strains, making her a Normal difficulty strain to grow.
[Grow report]
She took off as soon as the sprouted and never looked back. What a bad ass chick, this was. One of the most eager strains I've had the pleasure of growing.
No issues with nutrients or watering occurred. Very easy to grow.
She took super well to training, bouncing back from LST within hours.
Compact little girl in the end, very easy to trim.
Not that I did a perfect job at that, but it didn't take more than a few minutes to get most of it done.
Whilst trimming, odors of herbs, apples, diesel and honey arose.
[Smoke report]

UmFzbXVz Grew a little stouter than I expected. If she weren't tied down, she would likely only develop a single cola due to compactness.
All in all, a compact plant that was easily trimmed. Probably the easiest trim job you'll ever do!
@DWCbadassquestionmark, Followed you right back, good sir and/or madam. Let's see where this goes! Hopefully Green Crack is a nice booster for those long nights of coding.
@@UmFzbXVz, thanks for the insight. I'll definitely keep the TDS down a little next time. I thought it seemed a little excessive... Live and learn I guess. Thanks again.
@DWCbadassquestionmark, Oh yeah, I can see that. Those splotches -- at least for me -- only show up when I use this specific soil that is loaded with nutrients. Perhaps your TDS is a little on the high side? Your plant will soon adjust so don't change anything, but perhaps lower the nute concentration on the next seedling you get :)
When I pop seeds in Jiffy pellets or in rockwool cubes with only pH'd water, I never see these things. (See my current grow of 40+ year old seed -- that one sprouted in Jiffy and has no discoloration except anthocyanin build-up due to strong LED)
