Transplant to 7 gallon. Mixed alfalfa meal into the soil, still watering with em1 once a week. I attempted to fim but cut too high. Nodes are so tight it was a bit confusing to cut.
Went for some low stress training while she is still pliable.
Planted 4 seeds I found in my grinder. Good luck. They won't be transplanted. This diary is about Candida and this is the last mention I will make of these 4.
Lower ambient temps mean my average is 22 celcius with 60rh very consistent. Had been the same since week 3.
Lights are 18" away from seedlings. They are also 13" away from my Candida in some spots. Others 16 or 17"
More training. More lst.
Topped in 3 places. Top of main stem, and ends of the first 2 node side branches.
More training. Brewing ym first tea at time of writing this (Mar 3), watering tonight at 6pmish.
Tea contains:4 litres of water, 5 tablespoon worm castings, 2 teaspoons of molasses, 2 teaspoon Gaia alfalfa meal, 1 teaspoon Gaia 4-4-4 all purpose fertilizer, 3ml of EM1, 2 teaspoon Epsom salt bubbled for 24 hrs at 24.5 celcius.
Did a couple hard bends to try and super crop. I pinched and twisted main stem and really pinched and bent the top 2 nodes. They have 1 week to repair before I switch to 12/12
Temps still consistent at 22c 60rh.
End of week report is my one spider farmer died. Added my old meizhi 600w in to keep up the light.
My stem is fuckin busted up. I'm curious to flip and see how it repairs one the growth spurts.
Last week of veg. These are flipped in 7 days. Giving the random seeds a little extra time to get a node in so I can top them all.
My Spiderfarmer was dead when I got home so I put in my 600w meizhi. Temps consistent at 24c 50rh.
New Spiderfarmer coming today means dropped temps and back to having the lights closer. I'm excited to flip the switch and start the show!
In w6 I have a pic of a twisted main stem. Do y'all think that'll recover or is it a dangerous open wound that won't knuckle like a Super crop. I'm imagining it'll knuckle but to a first timer the damage seems extensively
Yes that stem will recover without any issues. I have had several that are hanging on by a thread and they regenerate into strong knuckles. If a stem is damaged beyond repair the leaves will wilt within a few hours. If the leaves past the bend are still looking ok then she is good to go. Good luck with the rest of your grow.
Hemp is strong, and very reesiliant. She will recover for sure. ive grown the candida CD-1 too as an outdoor plant 2 years ago. Ist a great choice to grow this strain. Mine turned out wondereful. And the CBD is very aromatic and works great.
Yeah, it will recover. Had you broken off the stem, the broken part would dry up rel quick, it would be obvious. In up to 5 days, it will resume growing.
I flipped to flower March 6th. This is technically week 6 day 3 since seedling.
Extremely excited to see all my lst, topping, and supercropping training will manifest.
This is my smoothest grow yet. Heavy yields incoming!
I noticed I was going very long between waterings. 6 or more days, although it wasn't unwarranted as my soil seems to maintain its dampness for a long time. I have resorted to just watering 1.5l every 3/4 days unless things are noticeably moist.
FW1d1 Top dress 7 tbsp of Gaia green power bloom + a pinch of Epsom salt.
The main stem is healing nicely. Very hard already.
FIMd my 4 small guys for practice and observation. Free seeds means room to make mistakes and learn.
This will be a slow week. I want all my plants to just grow without disturbance for the next couple weeks. Not going to fiddle around just let them stretch. Minor lst will happen.
Will feed a gentle tea of molasses and worm castings for this next watering.
My plants currently look the happiest and healthiest I've seen this grow.
Messed up my days. Second week of flower started today Mar 13
Trying to keep the Candida trained up for max light pen. Lights currently 22 inches above canopy
No more distilled water in store. Going to start bubbling tap water to get rid of chlorine. Tap water is about 90ppm
Just watching her grow. She's pumping out budsites and beginning to form the buds at the tops.
Managed to sneak into my hydro store and get a big bag of Gro4 organic worm castings. I had fungus gnats all of a sudden and a top layer of worm castings will kill them all as the nematodes will eat the larvae
Moves lights to 23 inch
Lights are at 27 inch now. I moved them way back because I forgot I had a seedling in my tent and it needs a lot of distance to keep it chill(Er). I also think after a ton of reading and looking around, I had my lights way too close. I see my Candida is now starting to get deeper green leaves already instead of the bleached white/green she has.
Watered with work casting tea. Em1+Epsom salt+a splash of Gaia power bloom.
Fungus gnats are still hanging around but seem to have lost population.
Also noted that sf2000 have a temperature of 4700k for cameras.
Temperatures have been lower even though winter is ending. We aren't running our heat as much, so the ambient temperature in my room is lower. Plants still enjoy 21c weather during the day, and 19 at night. I am periodically opening the windows and hitting the room with 13/16 degree weather during the day and at night to pump these girls with some stress hormones.
Lights higher now at 24ish inches.
Gave the final feed at the end of last week. Just ewc tea and em1 for the remainder of this grow.
I'm still low stress training to keep certain buds apart. Super cropped a couple branches and broke one... Taped Er up and she was fully repaired in 3 or 4 days.
I do wim hof into my tent to supplement co2. Might as well. :)
I have some wow myco.. Looks like she'll go for another 4-6 weeks. I'll probably just put in 2 teaspoons and see what happens.
Calyxes turning brown. The buds are fattening up. I'm thinking 1.5 to 2 weeks left (as of Monday)
They are really starting of fatten up. The genetic expression is not big dense buds. They are flatter. The buds are starting to pop up so it's not flat. Covered in trichs. Maybe a week left? 2 weeks max I feel.
I'm super excited to chop her. I'm going to try taking off top buds and letting the lower ones get bigger and ripen past chopping the top bud sites.
Please refer to fw7d3 macros. Given the look of the pistils (90 percent receded on all buds) and investigation of the trichs I think she could be harvested today or within the next few days as the substrate dries.
Input is appreciated on if it is harvest time for my Candida.
You need a closer macro but when I am zooming in I can see mostly clear trichs with a few white but it's more a feeling because it's a bit too far from the trichomes to really tell
hello !! nice frosty pics 💪 miam miam......from here i am I would leave a little more .... but it-s because I like when weed is potent so it s up to you at the end....i can only recommend you to let them dry on soil 2/3 days in darkness in ur tent before chop.....don t forget to let extraction ^^
happy growing and happy future smokes 👊
Just watering and giving em1+molasses+mag phosphate every other watering.
Intense fungus gnat infestation means I am pulling this to reduce the amount of breeding grounds. I also believe it's done. Fk it. Make your own conclusions on the trichomes cloudiness or what have you.
Thank you all ! Enjoy my diary!
This strain ... I bought ten seeds and only yielded two plants. Does not handle stress well. These buds are small like my other ones. I guess it isn't stable. I even had a seedling just freeze on me... A few seeds I just killed because it is my second grow and was ignorant. Regardless, I've seen what good genetics can do (am growing a black berry by fastbuds right now). The stalk was small and never got bigger. Will test mid May and come back with a usage report.
Will choose a different high cbd strain. I will not be going back to this one.
