June 25th - Harvest, drying- and triming-progress has been successfully finished today!😀 Now curing is in progress for the next weeks. The outcome is 163 grams now. All buds are stored in the jars for curing. Think i will lose a few grams during curing-progress, so there will be remain approx. 160 grams yield at the end of curing. I am very happy with this outcome and had never such an big yield before😀 Great! Timeline: Harvested both plants at June-13th. Plant A was already partial harvested 1-2 weeks before June-13. I think, this kind of harvesting has a little bit increased my outcome. With cuting off the ripe buds, the other buds below could grow a little bit more. After cutoff both plants, i hung up the the plants for drying. After 2 days I cutoff the branches and dried them without removing the leaves for an slow drying-process. After 5 days i trimed the branches and removed most of the leaves. The trimed branches were dried again for 5 days, then i cuted off the buds from the branches. The buds were trimed again and removed the last leaves, and then i gave them into the jars. There are 9 jars filled up with buds - compact buds and fluffy buds and a few popcorn-buds. Majority of the very small popcorn-buds i gave to the trim for making "shake-hash". 6 of the jars has a weight of approx. 17 grams, 3 jars have approx. 20 grams. Great outcome! They will be cured now for approx. 12 weeks. With the trim and the stems i will make shaking-hash - think this will be approx 3-5 grams. With the bigger leaves - they have no trichomes - i will dry and store it to make a hemp-tea. So that's all for the moment. I will update here, if something happens during curing, or if i do the shaking-hash. This grow was done during the Corona/CoVid19-crisis and Corona-lockdown crisis between March and June 2020. Some unbelievable things happened, and i lost a few lovely people in these months, as many others lost lovely people! 😥 For me It was a very sad time, and to do that grow, this helped me very much, to keep my brain and my body healthy. So therefore i will never forget this grow and doing this diary at GrowDiaries, and will always remember and associating this grow with the Corona-lockdown. Bye! ===================== Short "additional" update - Curing Progress and "shaking times" 😉 July 2020 The buds are all in jars and are in curing progress since 5 weeks. In the meantime i'm shaking the dried trim with the hash shaker. I give it to the freezer for 1 hour, than i shake for 10 minutes and I do the same a 2nd time. I was interested, how potentially is the remaining trim after the shaking sessions! I smoked it, and it's still very high potential! The shaked trim gave me an 3 hrs strong high! I was very surprised and observed the shaked trim in the microscope. The photos show, that there remaining many parts of the trichomes. So this is nothing for the waste - i will consume also the shaked trim in a way i don't know yet. 😀😀😀 ======================= Very Last Update - Oct-5th 2020: Now i can publish the right weight after 3 months of curing and finishing the shaking trim and pressed pollenhash: Cured green grass: 148 grams Pressed pollenhash: 9,94 grams made from trim only (!) - see latest photo. Best yield i've ever made - this was my best grow!😀😁😀😁😀😁😀😁 BYE ! STAY SAFE! 😷
