Afghan Diesel, full of citrus and sharp pungency, is a variety of the Afghan strain that is as mysterious and intriguing as the place from whence it came. With unknown breeders and its exact makeup undetermined, this daytime high is one in which you just have to enjoy the ride and ask questions later. The exact ratio of indica to sativa is touch and go, however, many believe it is close to 50/50 with a slight lean towards sativa. The THC levels have a pretty swinging sprawl as well, coming in anywhere between 14 to 23%. This plant is covered with dark green leaves and purple buds, giving it a rose-like appearance. The aromas and flavors are strong in citrus with a bold grapefruit overtone. It has a fruity, almost tangy aroma when the buds are broken apart, making it a joy to smoke. Cerebral in nature, as most sativa-dominant strains are, the high is heady and euphoric from start to finish. The smooth start to your experience can sometimes come off as mild, though it would be a mistake to think you are not ‘getting’ anything. Enjoy the slow roll as it kicks in, as the tingles start in the back of your head and move through your limbs, warming your core and leaving you totally at ease. Try this bud as a way to get your creative juices flowing and finish up a forgotten art project or get in the kitchen and make a recipe you’ve been meaning to try. If you enjoy an upbeat high and find yourself suffering from mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, stress, or bipolar, this is a great strain for you. Its highly stimulating properties lift up the spirit as it eases aches and pains. In addition to these effects, it’s highly beneficial to those who suffer from a general lack of appetite or more specifically an eating disorder such as anorexia because of its ability to stimulate the appetite and suppress nausea. The Afghan plant is a great indoor strain and is relatively easy to care for. Be mindful of topping and pruning, as this will help your Afghan Diesel stay strong and healthy. Because of its powerful diesel aromas, a smell-proof system might be a wise investment. https://www.wikileaf.com/strain/afghan-diesel/ _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I put to germinate two seeds, which had been freebies from another purchase, more than 2 years ago, I can't remember the who was the vendor. One of the embryos died soon after sprouting but the other one did it well. I have read that with old seeds the main problem is that the seed husk gets hard and prevents water to come in or the tap root to emerge, so I rubbed the seeds with sandpaper (fine grade) and then soaked them in 100 mL deionized water with 4 drops H2O2 at pH for 36 hours. After a few days I started to fertigate on 12 3 2020 (twice a day) and I notices that despite I use a very low strength solution ca. 250 ppm, run off was very high for a seedling ( it was about 500 ppm) so flushing with the fertigation solution I managed to put that value down to 350 ppm which is more friendly to the roots. I think that since I'm starting a fertigation regime, run off wil be soon near to the value of the solution inflow TDS.
