So this is the week I found out all about PPFD, PAR and LUX, basically all the basic info one needs to understand how lighting works. So I brought down the 300W LED I have down to 18cm from the plants since that's the spot where I get 1000 PPFD. Since I don't have a quantum meter to measure this directly, I instead measured the LUX output of the LED light with a free app on my phone and then converted the LUX to PPFD using an online converter.
Also bought real nutes, more specifically the GHE Flora Duo 500ml tri-pack. As a result I also switched up the feeding schedule, so now I'm feeding them every three days, and doing water only every three feeds. A bit late in the process, but hey, first grow! 😅
Finally, the first amber thricomes are showing, yay! 😍
Business as usual this week. More and more amber trichomes are forming now, which is great
One minor issue is that one of the girls seems to be ahead in the amber trichome game. Not sure how to handle this when harvest time arrives, since I have one single grow tent which I intended to use for drying. Suggestions are welcome.
I was originally thinking of starting them on the GHE Ripen this week (15th), however looking at the trichomes I will hold off until week 17th.
Happy growing friends :)
The ladies are getting closer and closer to harvest. Two more weeks or so and they'll get the chop.
I noticed a bit of burn on the leaves from the last feed 🔥. Debated whether to feed them one last time or to switch directly to flush. Finally, I decided to feed them today one last time today.
Switching them to the Ripen GHE nutes for the next 2 or 3 "feeds". It is supposed to help them for their ripening process, I've no idea if it will have any significant impact. But, hey, only one way to find out! 😋
You can see from the pictures some of the leaves are starting to turn bleak and yellowish. A good sign that they're entering the final phase of their life. At least that's what I've learnt from the internet hehe 😅
Happy growing, friends!
Heello there, fellow bud-tenders!
These ladies are entering the final stages of their life-cycle as you can see from the amber around the buds.
Fed them with the GHE "Ripen" for the first time today. Dunno what to expect, but I plan on feeding them a couple more times. After that, I'm flushing them and it's curtains for these girls.
Happy growing, friends! 🌿✌️
Hey there, fellow growers!
This is the very last week for these girls. They've had a grand old time, that's for sure 😜
Finished up with the GHE "Ripen". I think it sped the leaf discoloration a bit. I'll keep using it for future grows until I start seeing negative results.
They are now officially in flush week. They'll get double the water intake for the next few days.
Chop day is 21st. See you then :)
And as always, happy growing friends! ✌️🌿
Hello there fellow bud tenders!
This was the final week for these plants!
This marks the end of my first grow and, man, it was a wild ride! 😜
I have certainly learnt a lot during these past four months and I can barely wait to implement all the new knowledge and techniques I have acquired! Check out my window sill - balcony grow if you haven't! :)
Next week I'll post the final harvest results. ⚖️
Have a great day and don't forget that it's always a beautiful day to be alive! ✌️🌿
I loved my first grow! Even though it started out slow in the cold of January, I had a pretty bad aliexpress blurple and made quite a few mistakes, it was pretty awesome overall.
The strain performed pretty decent for that shitty light.
The buds were not as thick as you would see elsewhere on the Internet, but there are quite a few decent mids and not that much larf to my surprise. About a 80/20 - 70/30 ratio IMO.
Definitely the most fun hobby :)))))
Remember it's always a beautiful day to be alive, and keep growing! ✌️🌿
