Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been about 20 years since my last grow. After doing much research, I decided to grow in Coco since it was similar to how I grew (not expertly) many years ago and just seemed like a good idea for me. I rinsed the Coco then soaked it for around 8 hours in CaliMag loaded water...drained it and did it again. I then flushed the Coco to ensure low salt buildup for my seedlings. I basically followed the instructions from Coco4Cannabis website on how to prepare/buffer Coco. The beaner was germinated by soaking it in distilled water for a few hours, then switched to the paper towel method. The seed sprouted in 2.5 days and was placed into the final container: a 2-gallon fabric pot filled with moist coco and tented with a large plastic bag. In my small grow tent, space is an issue, so 2 gallon pots are as much as big as I can get and still have multiple strains. After 2 more days, the sprout popped through the Coco. It had a hard time standing up straight out, but after a few days was looking good. 3 days in and the little sprout looked pretty good. And then this proud papa got destructive. I watered with 3/4 liter of water, and the EC measurement of the runoff was VERY high. I got worried, and over the next 4 days, proceeded to water 500 ml, 0 ml, 550 ml and 250 ml (gradually increasing in EC from 30 to 300). After this, I stopped watering for a while as the plant stopped growing... (sorry for no early pictures; the only ones I have are in an incompatible format but have since changed my phone settings) Light: ViparSpectra VA1000 - 1000W (230w actual) dimmable LED Tent Size: 2x2x4 Nutrients: General Hydroponics (Flora Series + CaliMagic + Armor Si + Diamond Nectar + Liquid Kool Bloom + RapidStart)

This week started off the same way last week ended: the plant is stunted. And it's all my fault for overwatering. After doing even more research, I decided my initial research was stupid. So...I decided to go to a combination of Passive/Kratky grows along with some DWC bubble buckets. The coco was not the experience I anticipated. It was me, not the coco. After 10 days of being in the coco (8 days since popping above "soil"), I dug up the little lady and transplanted her into a net cup with some clay rocks. I tried to rinse the coco off her roots while pouring in solution. Initially she was put into a glass (pictured) and my humidifier was giving a fogoponic treatment to her roots. After a day or two, she was put into a 32 oz Mason Jar. I am not overly optimistic about what will happen with this plant...the pictures are from Day 10, and it's clearly small and damaged. I started 4 seeds in Coco. All 4 germinated. 3 sprouted from the Coco and were ultimately attempted to be transplanted...what happened to them? Tune in next week.... This week is starting on a positive note. The plant looks healthy. It's still small, but most importantly it's still alive and getting bigger every day. I messed up the initial nutrient solution (forgot the CalMag), so I've been using the messed up one to try to rinse any remaining coco out (foreshadowing?). My plan was to FIM these Autos vs Topping as I want to see what happens with a lower stress training. On Day 19, I FIMed the plant. I was worried it may flower soon, so wanted to FIM as soon as possible. Since the plant is so short, there wasn't much to cut. So, I may have FIMed the FIM. Spots on the lower leafs have become pretty visible by Days 20/21. I'm not exactly sure what ailment they are a sign of. The plant was moved to a 64 oz amber Mason Jar (and on to Nutrient schedule #3 (old)) on Day 20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Light: ViparSpectra VA1000 - 1000W (230w actual) dimmable LED Tent Size: 2x2x4 Nutrients: General Hydroponics (Flora Series + CaliMagic + Armor Si + Diamond Nectar + Liquid Kool Bloom + RapidStart...exact recipes/ph/ec monitored, but I'm too lazy right now to input all that data) **My Day Counts are the # of days since the seed germinated and was put into its initial medium (Germination and first placement = Day 0).

Week 4: Day 22: I discovered that my pH pen had become un-calibrated and the pH was much lower than I was going for. I recalibrated and made a new NUTE solution to be safe. The bottom fan leaves are looking worse, and since the plant hasn't shown any signs of flowering, I just chopped them. Chances are it was from the days of no CaliMag when I was rinsing or the pH pen going way out of whack. Either way, hopefully the plant will keep chugging along. Day 23: White Pistils have definitely been seen...Flowering has started. Day 24: ...growing... Day 25: ...growing... Day 26: ...growing... Day 27: ...growing... Day 28: ...growing... Weekly Summary: The plant has continued growing. Not really much to note. Short Term Plans: Change the Nute menu next week. Possible LST. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Light: ViparSpectra VA1000 - 1000W (230w actual) dimmable LED Tent Size: 2x2x4 **My Day Counts are the # of days since the seed germinated and was put into its initial medium (Germination and first placement = Day 0).
