Zkittles Clones: Defoliation experiment

seed2sky Clones cut from Zkittles #1 (Marshana)! I took 3 clones and will be doing an experiment with leaf removal techniques. Theres always a big debate for removing vs not removing fan leaves during flower, so i decided ill put it to the test for myself. All 3 clones were cut from the same mother, and will be in the same environment while all being fed the same nutrients. The veg process will all be the same up until the one node flip right before the start of flower. During the flowering process, one plant will be left completely untouched during flower, one will be stripped at day 21, and one will be striped at day 21 and day 42. Excited to see how this turns out!

seed2sky Week 2 of veg is going good. The clones are acclimating to their new homes perfectly. Feeding with Mega crop started this week. At the end of the week I removed some fan leaves to open it up. These guys were also topped at the end of the week.

seed2sky Last week of veg! I let the clones recover till the end of the week so we can one node flip and go into flower!

seed2sky Week 1 of flower ready to go! Moved everyone into the 2x4 tent after the one node flip.

seed2sky Week 2 flower chuggin along. The girls are filling out the tent and starting to even out the canopy. At the end of this week we started seeing some prebuds forming!

seed2sky Clones still ghettin bushy this week. Looks like the stretch is done, and ill be defoliating at the start of next week (day 21). Buds starting to come in :D

seed2sky Exciting week starting! This week marks day 21 - the first defoliation round for 2 of the clones. The first 2 clones will be defoliated on day 21, while the last one will not be touched. At around day 42 I will be defoliating the second clone again, and leaving the other 2 untouched. In this experiment im looking out for the differences in yeild and how the buds develop differently on the 3 clones. Im excited to see how this turns out!
