I've found the best way to get rid of spider mites is through predatory insects in combination with treatment such as organic pest sprays. I'd recommend hitting them with the spray for about a week and then releasing pirates bugs to eat the remaining buds. Diatomaceous earth on the topsoil also helps stifle them.
