Things are picking up now, plants are all healthy hopefully we should be ready to flower on day 30.Also defoliated first two set of fan leaf for a little bit more air flow to bottom of plants.
Start of week 5, everything is healthy. Most of the plants are short I’m guessing those are the ones thats grape ape dominant. Only 1 plant ( Z 1 ) is a fast grower. They are now under 750 watt hps for the rest of vegg. Last week of vegg. Then flower for 10 weeks.
Here we go, 32 days vegg now it’s time to flower. All plants are happy and healthy most plants are short hopefully that’s from the grape ape side of the family because we want to see some colors.Since they are short we will introduce co2 at the start of flower instead of introducing it at the end of stretch to make up for the short stature of the plants.
Start of week 3 and all plants doubled in size all plants are healthy, been defoliating every couple of days most of the leaf removed are the ones that overlap each other,or blocking bud sites.
This week they will go under new gavita 1700e led lights. Should be interesting to see how they grow,and see what all the hype is with led tech.
Today is start of week 4. Not much to report except , all plants got defoliated on day 19 for the last time.
Also little buds is starting to form on all the short zkittlez plant the tall plants looks to be 3 or 4 days behind the short plants.
(12 clones vegg for 1 week in 16 oz cups transplanted into 1 gallon grow bag and into flower this week.)
4 tall plants killed off this week they was growing 3 times slower then the short phenos, start of week 5 and no thc growing on them at all.
All the short phenos are doing good start of week 5 and covered in crystal, budlets growing every day. Smells like gdp
Had to defoliate again in week 5 day 32 so far we defoliated 3 times , day 19, day 26, and day 32.
Start of week 6, this next 2 weeks the plants should triple in size and start crowning,and all defoliation are done.
Start of week 7 and plants are taking off
The indica dominate phenos are showing signs of crowning and the sativa dominate phenos budlets are starting to connect. 2 more weeks of fertilizer then straight water till harvest.( 10 week flower)
Also killed off 6 sativa dominate ( clones) they just take too long to set their flowers.
Start of week 8 and the plants are crowning all over the place, except for the sativa dominate pheno. All plants will get water only for week 8 and 9 , looks like they will be ready for harvest at 9 1/2 weeks. Pheno number 2 looks to be the only one fastest to mature.
So far the gavita pro 1700e is out performing 1000 watt hps hands down had to plug in the hps on days when outdoor temps is in the mid 80 degree just to get grow room temps to hit 83 to 84 degrees so co2 gets used more efficiently. Looks like the gravitas will crush it in dry weight too.
Start of week 9 and everything is filling in nicely, 11 more days and it’s harvest time. Not much to report except the smell, fruity, berries, sweet and sour.
except pheno 6 the sativa dominate that one smells like grape fruit / hazy.
Harvest day today 65 days flower.
Dry weight is 19.5oz from a 2 ft by 4 ft flood table. If I didn’t kill off the 6 sativa dominate phenos there would have Been 12 plants ,2 flood tables under gavita pro 1700e and average 2.75oz dry per plant for 33 oz total, from a 629 watt draw. Not bad for 18 inch tall ,12 inch wide plants. Had plenty of room left If vegged for another 7 days could have pull more. The plants went to flower at 10 inch and finished at 18. Next run I will flower at 16 inches if possible.
Zkittlez from black skull seeds was pretty easy to grow, out of 16 seeds that pop 8 was sativa dominate they got tossed, 7 was indica dominate, 1 grew like a sativa but flowered like a indica.
The flowers had purple hues growing at harvest and night time temps was 83*f so winter harvest should be genetically colorful.
