Both seeds popped pretty slow. Both plants we still growing with the seed stuck on. Plant on seemed strong enough I was able to fiddle with it and take it off. Plant two doesn’t look so hot. I’ll give it a few days to grow before attempting to remove the seed.
Seed shell is still covering plant 2. The plant didn’t seem stable, so I decided to leave it for a day or two to see if the plant grew enough that I could remove it. Is that the right corse of action? Any tips, tricks or best practices for handling this??
I would just let it go a couple more days as it should open up! It definitely looks alive! Sometimes they come up before all the germination is done! There’s a membrane inside of the seed, so I wouldn’t force it off just let it go and once you can see green gently try to pull it off! Good luck 🍀👍
New to indoor growing. Set up a 32x32 Vivosun tent. Currently have a giixer 1000w light, but wasn’t feeling the coverage was good enough for several plants. So I just ordered a second one. Do you think 2 giixer 1000w leds is ridiculous overkill?

Let's see. Your area is 32" * 32" = 2.67' * 2.67' = 7.12 sq ft. You need 30 to 40 real led watts per sq ft; so you need between 213 to 285 real watts. Two of those 1000 watt giixer will give you 220 real watts, which will be just over 30 watts. So no it is not overkill, it is barely enough as it is.
Added a second light this week- after feeling like one wasn’t enough coverage. It’s brought the heat up a bit, and the humidity down. I’m going to need to start running my fan and filter as it’s starting to have a noticeable smell.
I suspect plant one has Hermied on me. Removed what I thought was bananas. Weather will be bad this week. I’ll remove to outdoors next week- decided I’d experiment and fim’ed her. I’ll remove from my tent in a few days when temperatures cooperate. I’ll leave plant 2 in my tent along with my 2 green crack plants
I’ve been checking on the plant that I thought had hermied- but I haven’t found any additional pollen sacs growing. I’ll give it another week with daily checks before I decide if she gets booted outside
Both plants chugging along. No signs of additional pollen sacs on one of the plants. Weather is now more cooperative- I’ll move her outside immediately if I find more. I check every other day. Decided to take them out of the tent for today’s pictures- why not.
These girls only have a few days left. I’ve stopped giving them nutrients- it’s ph’ed water only going forward. Checking Trichomes daily. I’m definitely noticing just how sever the effects of topping has on a auto. Wanted to compare- because each grow should shape our future grows. LST is by far the way to go. My green crack diary was started at the same time, all plants under the same environment conditions, but the received lst Instead.
Wonderful smell. Strong. But wonderful. It’s my own fault the plants were small, I’m learning about topping ( and how it affects autos) led height, lst and the like. I had better harvest amounts with this strain indoors- I had grown one plant outdoors last year.
