I continued defoliation. I removed all main leaves and first blooming internode which was unuseful to harvest. We had bad weather along the week but the internode took as reference for mesurement had doubled since first defoliation. General density have improved. I proceded to a bit-more-drastical second defoliation. I'm a newbie so I'm proceding by tryouts and since the poor production of the plant at these growth conditions I don't think I can do lot of damages.

Hello! Since my plant had a slow growth, is it useful doing defoliation at this stage? Is it useful at all doing it on a outdoor Auto? I've read somewhere that is better not touching autos at all since them fragility. Many thanks.

Leave her.. she's a bit too far along. She's a little small but any of the small amounts of foliage you take off will most likely just stunt her/shock her further and do no good for you. It's a learner plant and it happens. We generally do very little defoliation outdoors.. Some crazy old grower told us something about it attracting more pests which kind of makes sense when you think about it. We don't spray or use pesticides or anything like that, we use physical barriers to keep pests away. We spray if we have too but never before..

Why did you harvest this soon?

@CoastGrower after 13 weeks I don't think it would grow much more. Maybe is the strain, but mostly it has been the growth conditions. I planted it early (21st jan) in 0.7L pot then passed to a 3L pot, at the window so kind of 7Hrs/day direct light when it was not raining, and no nutrients at all as you can see :) Probably It was a bit early, but I would not say that much. I preferred anyway cut it off to start new strains.

@Swompu, Never look at the brown hairs but at the trichomes. When I look at your harvested tops, it looks like a really young bud that could have gotten a lot fatter. But maybe that’s just the genetics of that plant. You can look at my diaries and see the growth in the nuggets.

@CoastGrower I've just done it because I thought it would not improve much more, maybe a bit about the taste, but the pistils were becomin brown already, so I didn't think the flowers would grow more on volume. For the fact that it was not growing in good conditions I've just done it. Was I totally wrong? Thanks

how much weed do you get?

@Lil_Teddy, everywhere on the net they suggest at least 7L - 11L pot from sprouting, no racking since the auto are susceptible to stresses. Just that would have changed the game in theory

@Lil_Teddy, I still have to harvest, I think i'm gonna cut it next week. but it would be very few. it's a kind of test. Growing conditions are not the best ( small pot, no added nutrients, early planting - 21/01 - at the window) so it had a slow and reduced growth, at the moment it doubled the declared growth period of 90 days. With some more care I think it could be a nice plant anyway. Blooms have a better shape now. I proceded to try defoliation between 11th and 12th week but I would say it gonna make no more than 7g (EDIT: less then 2g actually...). I'm gonna load more photos later today or this weekend.
