So, this is my second year trying to grow weed from scratch. Last year i grown 1,5m frisian duck with about 0,1kg yield.
This time ill try to document my progression with these 2 strains. (3 seeds Tatanka Pur CBD, 1 seed Peyote Critical)
This week seeds came and i submerged them in watter to germinate them and all of them popped,, so i left them to germinate more in wet paper towel over night.
This week was a great success, all 3 tatanka pure CBD plats are growing strong. Unfortionetly the Peyote Critical is not growing, i think the seed is still sleeping. I will try to give it time and ill hope for the best. Tatanka Pure seedlings are strong and they are getting bigger and bigger day by day. Next week im planing to transfer them into the 20l pots to start rooting there. I dont want to stress them even more before low stress training and topping so the early tranfer is the easyest way.
Ladies are doing great ! They are already hrowing 2 sets of first leaves and they are looking extra healthy. Only thing that I worry about is the amount of light for them I have noticed they stretched a bit from the beggining, but I think they stoppped and started growing. Maybe ill find better place for them as soon as the weather gets better.
Ive found a new place for them because they tended to stretch for sunlight. Now they are between mirrors on the best spot possible. Ill wait a bit more and top all of em. I havent transefed them into the final pots, because the in the night its sometimes freezing and im worried that it could harm them.
After transfering to the large pots and placed them on even better spot on the balcony they stopped stretching completely and started growin ALOT and i mean it.. Leaves started growing fast and they look dense now. The only thing im worrying about is the color of the leaves. Ill try to give them more fertilizer because maybe they need more food to grow faster. (2 pots are filled with biobizz light mix and the last one is filled with homemade compost substrate)
This week i tied em to he pot and they are looking great. This is my first time low stress training my flowers soo if im doing anything wrong let me know. :D
The gorwing progrees can be seen day by day.
Weather is getting better, they are loving the heat and sun. :-) Im trying to tie them down but im doing it for the first time soo i dont want to break them, beacause the main stemp is feeling strong and not bendable soo i dont want to snap it.
After aplying the LST the flowerst started growing rapidly from the side covering more and more room. They are soo strong that when i tie them down with strings the next day the strings are broken and i have to tie a new rope. They already started smelling a bit.
Every morinig i have to tuck the big leafes back, because they are covering the small side branches. :-)
This week the lower sidebranched almost reached the height of the main one. I doubled the watering of the plants because they are bigger so they need more supplements and water. I dont check the pH of the water its just regular tap watter with 1 tbs of the alga grow nutrient.

You can start LST now no worries. Don’t worry about stopping her from growing bigger. I did extensive LST on my plants and they got insanely bushy and I was able to manage the height. I was able to get plants to take up close to a square meter in 5 gallon pots and that was no challenge.
Take a look at my Grow diary if your interested to see how the LST will affect the growth. It’s amazing to see.
In terms of defoliating you can as well. Start with the LST first though. At this stage you’ll be defoliating to expose otherwise unexposed growth sites. Humidity shouldn’t be a problem for your not should space at this point.
When you LST you’ll expose more of the plant so less defoliating maybe necessary. Other wise let the fan leaves help the plant veg out for now. You can always trim as you go along and aim for lower growth or growth that is filling in the stems/plant to much not allowing air passage.
The plant is a resilient and if your hesitant start slow and you’ll se she can bounce back quick. Happy Growing.
So guys this week i LST them and removed some unnecesary big leafes that were covering the interior of the plants because i found out that they stretched alot to get more light. Idk how good of a job ive done because this is my first time removing any leafes from plants. I watched some youtube videos on defoliation and thought that it made sence for the plant. I removed not even 20% of the leafes i chopped of the big ones that werent doing anything just getting bigger and bigger.
Another week passed by and ive removed even more leaves from top nad the inside of the plants after the tieing down the top defoliated stemp started growing rapidly producing new sidebranches even faster. Im starting to watter them even more because the weather is getting soo much better now.
This week is the first week of flowering. The centers of the flower changed color and there are growing small pistons where the buds will grow. I need to find out what should i feed them now when they are on the start of blooming. I have some nutrients that are for flowering but i dont know if i should start feeding them now or wait a bit for them to stop growing and stretching to and then switch to different nutrients.
Flowering is going on, they are thirsty and its hot outside. Hope they will flower more, i think they are bit stuck flowering, maybe they need better lightning 12/12 but they are outdoor so i cant do shit with it. :-)
Finally plants arent stunned by the weather and poor wattering by my fault. I added more nutrients for them and it helped ALOT. They are growing day by day and look happy.
They are going ham on producing buds. They stopped growing and started focusing on flowering. IM soo happy that they are doing good , I added some more of the nutrients to thier every day wattering and i assume they wanted it. They no longer turn yellow on the bottom leafs.

This week is very cold, it rains alot and the 3rd plant got sooo big that she is almost falling over i had to tie some of the stems to the main stem and put a support stick behind her. Idk if its ok for her to bend that much but she seems fine.

If you judge by the pistils usually 70-90% ambered is a good time to harvest. The best way is to use a small microscope or jewelers loupe to have a glance at the trichromes. Most people harvest when all the trichromes are milky to 30% amber. If you harvest with more milky trichs it will produce more of a head high effect, where as more amber trichromes will give you the couch lock effect.
I would suggest looking at the trichs if you can a little closer, I have had plants ready to harvest with lots of white pistils left still and some where they were all brown.
