New week :)
Waiting on cal mag to arrive, interested to see how it changes growth.
Trying something out as I have the wrong nutrients for Coco, I think the plants will still get what they need if I keep the dosage really low and keep a close eye for deficiancies. Coco loves to suck up all the calcium so I'm adding alg-a-mic (algae is high in magnesium and calcium, can't guarantee anything but worth a shot), the acti Vera and give a good spread of other beneficial nutrients according to my research.
The Coco mix I accidentally made is more accurately 30% coco pith 30% Coco bark 25% Coco peat 5% perlite
When I prepared the big pots I soaked them with the seedling strength nute solution until there was runoff before transplanting.
Bottom of the pots have stayed moist but top half of the pots are quite dry, not worried yet but haven't fed them much at all just in case, no wilting so far.
Thought this was an autoflower! Ah fun quarantine times.
Calmag still hasn't arrived. I gave up and got some epsom salts. Added to feed on day 13 and some actual growth happened so sticking with it. Fingers crossed for her!
I think I've fixed nutrition issues now, got a bit lax with pH in the mean time but it's not too high luckily.
See how she goes now the environment is better.
Now everyone looks healthy, I'm playing with nutes again I won't deviate from the base but added a bit more acti Vera and plan to introduce top max by the end of the week for some final missing minerals.
Added top max (may 1st)
I'm actually optimistic now she's green again, calmag will apparently arrive tomorrow. I live in a hard water area so I'll keep the epsom salts to balance the calcium already in the water and see how the gang like it as an added supplement.
Looking forward to a new week.
New week.
She has a very weak fruity smell but you have to be extremely close, can't wait to smell more!
Adjusted nutes again, raised them a little bit, will put them back down if any issues come up.
No issues, will start LST next week! So proud she has made it this far!
New week, not gonna train this girl too much, curious to see what happens without so much direction plus after the week of no growing, she finally seems in her stride so I'll just let her spread her wings.
Up'd nutes, feeding every 2 days.
12/5 So bored, couldn't resist a bit of tinkering all of a day later
13/5 added biobloom, stems are a bit to hard to bend but little bit everyday still got weeks till I put her in flower
15/5 seeing a big difference in how the plant is growing untrained, fan leaves just get bigger and bigger, very curious to see how she grows in flower
17/5 decided to look at topping and then actually did it, so here's to experimenting.
19/5 she really perked up after being topped, growth of the little stems has really exploded. Fun times, although makes me think my other 2 plants are stunted now
20/5 it's getting hotter thinking of switching to flowering next week, because of my other plant but I'm pretty sure this girl loves it. She has suddenly exploded.
22/5 the fan leaves are so big and beautiful I cant wait to try some dishes with them (pastry chef over here). So impatient now just 1 more week of veg! No feed today because she's real wet. Not sure what I was up to yesterday
27/5 all going good, switching to 12-12 after tomorrow, feel like it's getting a bit too warm for me to control the environment
31/5 about half way there. Switched to 12-12 2 days ago, had a little bit of heat damage but managed to bring temperatures down again for now.
2/06 I've pulled all the biggest stems out to the sides, had some heat damage last week so got another fan running in the box and pulling the lights up. She's showing sex but not much else at the moment
6/06 much cooler weather this week, buds are just starting to appear but can't tell if she smells different, bad sinus week
11/06 second strongest smelling, so fruity I get a whiff of a sweet scent every now and then from my bed :) I'm allergic to pineapple so any Pineapple related strain is my jam. The previously damaged leaves are drying out but apart from that no problems.
Planning to put her on a step next week, my other photoperiod is a few inches taller so had to move the lights up further but I need to wait for the autoflower to finish otherwise the fan will be too close, so I wait. Semi patiently.
13/06 bugs developing quickly and so dense! They feel really solid compared to 8 ball kush, which has spongier buds so far.
16/06 adjusting the height back and forth because I keep bending it away, started to get a bit of heat damage in the middle of the plant again. Stretched out the stems as far as I can, will try to keep more on top of it.
24/06 temperatures have gone up by about 5 degrees in the last few days and I think that's why Gina has turned Hermie. Buds still developing well, haven't seen any seeds yet but they're probably around.
Hoping I'm wrong lol
27/06 Gina is not a Hermie! But she had been pollinated, growing a few seeds here and there. I also accidentally re-vegged during the heat wave. Given 20 hours of darkness before lights come back on.
Been busy this week. Running around trying to find a new house but now that's over I can update in peace.
Not going to count days anymore because I lost track and it's approaching the last few weeks for this little lady. She fills my room with a beautiful tropical scent, can't wait to have her cut and cured!
Found a few seeds but I think that's was me accidentally revegging. Planning to plant them so that should be interesting, try a sog with seeds that aren't so precious.
Very close now, think I'll give her a week of flushing starting tomorrow then harvest mid next week.
Trichomes looking nice and cloudy - check.
Pistils are mostly browned - check
Seeds looking well developed - check
Do I have much idea what I'm talking about? Hell no but I'll learn :)
I can't even find the harvest pictures which is annoying, got a shit load of seeds in the buds which in saving. Otherwise smoking the bud has been nice, not super flavourful (sure that's my growing and not the genetics will know for sure with another run)
So far my opinion of royal queen seeds is average but I can't really judge because I'm not exactly a great grower yet.
Making some changes to my space which will hopefully help me stabilize the environment, as well as doing my research on growing media and having a feeding schedule to follow in comparison to what I did last time.
Big thanks to growdiairies for this indispensable tool!
To many future grows :)
