Hey GD Fam! BKG here with an update on our Nefertiti #2: Moved this girl from Right Grow Compartment in our Closet to Left Side to make room for "Economy Grow of Sour D" (be sure to check that grow out!) She's coming along nicely with large fan leaves coming in! Will hopefully start LST with a topping before next weeks entry. This particular grow pot I got from a friend and decided to give it a try on this grow vs. going with my normal 5gallon buckets. I found that this pot holds moisture a bit too well and I had to purchase a moisture meter with long leads that go to bottom of planter just to know when to water. These Enover 3 in 1 Moisture, Light, & PH Soil Meters are not spot on accurate, but for $10(on Amazon) you cant beat the assistance they give a grower! I also use this pot for defoliation remains as the surface area of the pot is large. Auto Nefertiti is a very fragrant autoflowering version of the original Nefertiti that comes from the crossing between two outstanding strains - Black Widow and White Widow. Nefertiti is a sativa dominant plant that took the 1st Hydro award at Spannabis 2007, under the name of “Black Hemp”, the second prize at Catalonia Cup in 2008, and the 3rd at Hashish prize in Catalonia Cup 2010. The plant develops Indica look leaves that change into Sativa shape during the flowering period. It grows up to 60-160cm tall depending on the conditions. The blooming takes 9-10 weeks and the harvest brings to 550gr/m2 indoors and to 150gr/plant outdoors. The strain doesn't depend on the light schedule.

This Girl is starting Week 4 now! I have to admit, I'm really not a fan of the pot my friend gave me to try on this run... Its got a built in drainage system, but it doesn't not work well leaving the soil over-moist with even minimal watering. I've only watered this Gal once this whole week and the moisture reading on meter has stayed in green area the entire time. Other than the pot, This Lady is growing well! Started LST with FIMing every node: Pulled main stalk to side of pot so lower nodes have more light penetration and to stimulate the tree to boost growth of those lower nodes. Hoping for enough growth this next week to start training some of the lower nodes too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Another Note: Can someone help me out here?... How is it possible that in this information age and the plethora of medical and private research that has been done on Cannabis; Paired with its many other uses like fuel (cleaner fuel than ethanol and cheaper/more sustainable to grow than corn), massive textile uses (strong resistant ropes, clothing, even building materials) & the fact that almost no other product (even big pharma) can claim zero deaths from overuse... That many states takes away your drivers license for an entire year for a simple possession charge??? This almost always completely destroys the life of the charged for something that doesn't even come close to warranting this kind of consequence! And then there's the fact that your average Cannabis consumer is a Good Vibes, productive member of society that pays taxes and many times is highly involved in the nitty gritty of their community! We are ruining lives, wasting millions in court costs, clogging judicial system and prisons for a plant that is so beneficial! I know that everyone on this site agrees, but I'm sitting here thinking about these amazing people we are destroying and can't sit still! These are family, friends, parents, brothers and sisters, children and worth so so so much more than the storm our government, big pharma, big oil and big textiles pours down on them through the vise of a broken judicial system!!! Hey GrowDiaries Community! (Be sure to spread those Good Vibes and Cannabis Love whenever and wherever you can) This is Start of Week 5 for this Nefertiti 2 (Sorry about the 2 week delay, I somehow updated Her a week early in Week 3) I have to be honest and say that this Grow is not impressive; My friend had given me this grow pot a while back to try out and it is not a good pot for Cannabis 😟 It's shallow and wide so there's little room for a deep tap-root, and I found after grow was going that there is no drainage built into bottom of pot (I thought there was) so water just sits down there causing root problems. The shape of the base (which may look cool) prevents any kind of Jerry-rig to drain excess runoff, so I am stuck with the pot as is. Needless to say, this poor Gal has been struggling the entire grow between soil being too wet and nutrient deficiency. I have a moisture meter in the soil which has helped me know when bottom of pot does finally dry, but it takes nearly a week and a half between waterings and it can take very little water when I do feed. I've kept this Girl well defoliated to increase air-flow to top of soil in hopes of allowing a more regular feeding schedule, but alas, I think this is just not going to be a good grow. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Highly recommend staying away from this type of grow pot!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------- When I am able to feed Her, I use BioBizz's Week 4 nutes: Bio-Heaven, Alg-A-Mic, & Fish-Mix at a higher concentration than normal to minimize amount of water going into this pot. Despite the challenges this Lady has had, Shes a trooper!! Now that training has exposed entire base of soil and is moving vertically only, I intend to leave Her alone for rest of grow to minimize stress. I wish I would've figured out about this pot from beginning because I would have just let Her grow normal with no training or defoliation at all. Please send all your Good Vibes this Girl's way 😍! How's my GD Fam doing this fine Thursday?! (Be sure to spread those Good Vibes and Cannabis Love whenever and wherever you can) Hitting you with Start of Week 6 for this Lovely Pyramid Seeds Nefertiti Auto #2!! What a week it has been for this Girl! I think She's finally gotten large enough to consume the moisture effectively from bottom of this pot (see previous GD Entry for details on issue with pot) because her growth has been explosive this last week! I Topped all of the higher nodes at beginning of last week, and She took to that well! I even found first sets of Pistils 😀 So she may be behind on normal growth schedule of Nefertiti, but she is coming on strong now! Shes up to .75 gallons every 2 - 3 days now. Feeding Her BioBizz's Week 4 Nutrients because She hadn't got to flowering yet. Will be switching her to Transition Week Nutrients: Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Heaven, and Alg-A-Mic. Also adding Expert Gardener Tomato and Vegetable Cal/Mag/Zinc Time-Released supplement this week. Cal/Mag/Zinc is all you need to supplement BioBizz Nutrient line - I use 2 Teaspoons pellets spread around plant and then stirred into top soil before watering - Once around week 3 and then in first week of flower. I'm glad I did the Topping at beginning of week, because now that She is Flowering, I am going to leave Her be the rest of the way! What a Trooper this Lady has been... Shes taken this crummy pot, my manhandling training regime, and is proving that She just wont quit!! This is the reason why I love growing so much 😍 The Meihzi Reflector Series 300w (about 150w from wall) is doing a nice job with these Gals in my Grow Room 2. The Pyramid Seeds Nefertiti Auto #2 in the ornamental growing pot has drastically improved Her growth performance this week! The growth is almost unbelievable!! She has struggled from the beginning due to the ornamental pot's lack of water drainage and inability to DIY drain either, but has now gotten large enough with a completely colonized root structure to absorb moisture in pot from top to bottom... And wow has She exploded as a result 😍 I might have been nervous in the beginning, but now I have high hopes for this Girl to perform Big as She is starting to Bud out nicely now!!! Moved this Nefertiti from Grow Room 2 into the Expert Seeds Amnesia Haze Auto #1's spot in Grow Room 1 as She was Harvested this week. I believe that She is going to respond well to the Mars Hydro Reflector Series 720w LED (around 300w from wall) that is in this room! With Her insane growth its no surprise that She is also drinking a lot now! Between .5 and .75 gallons per day with feeding BioBizz's week 6 Nutrients: Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Heaven, and Alg-A-Mic. Budlets everywhere and smelling dank already! I think She has completely overcome the "pot" issues now and is in full-swing for flower! She's really made a big turn around and now is firing off pretty much without intervention at all! Feeding Her around 1 gallon every other day of BioBizz's Flowering Nutrients: Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Heaven, & Alg-A-Mic. Also fed Her Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Sulfate and Molasses. Gave Her a full turn twice during the week since She's at the end of Grow Room 1 and I want even light distribution. Also spread Her canopy slightly with some LST branch moving - Nothing significant or enough to cause any stress. Nothing really else to report on this Gal.
