Some of the clones are looking a little worse for wear. At one point a few days ago the lid was left off for 2-3 hours in ~30 rh. They all drooped and the damage shown in pictures showed up over the next 24-48 hours. Using 30 ppm tapwater PHed at 6.0. Keeping the dome around 95% humidity, and the water in the bottom of it read about 29c thanks to the heat pad. The clones in the middle were taken first over the 6-day clone taking period. They show the most damage overall. Still, no roots showing through the Rockwool. The only product used is cloning gel.

Realized I was keeping my rock wool too wet in standing water in tray. Also that runoff tested at 7.5 pH. Fixing that the last few days. Keeping 29c 90ish rh and hardening a few times a day.

Was given some rooting enhancer as a freebie from the local hydroponics store. Things seem to be coming along well now that I fixed the standing water / PH issue. All have rooted through the bottom, some more than others. The leaves show signs of damage, too much light most likely. A worthy sacrifice to get the roots going I think though. Will be moving these girls to their new home tomorrow.

1900x speed 24h time-lapse. Very much happy with their growth speed now after that slow clone phase.

I dont plan to do any more defoliation or trimming. Do you think they are big enough to switch to flowering and achieve an efficient canopy in this space?

for 10 weeks they seam small enough. having in mind the amount of power you have over them, they should do just fine once in flowering, best of luck with the grow

Yes, I think would be a good time to switch, you have to remember they double /triple in height during flower 👍🌱

😎I see your roots are coming along nicely !!👍👊 how did you notice that the ph was out of range?? will you be putting them in soil or hydro ?? ebb flow flood table??

1stmannycommented5 years ago
@Sticky_icky, so your ph creeps up slowly from 5.5 till 6.5, that's great that it can go a week on autopilot. you have great water, the tap water at my house is 7.9 with a ppm 350. my water is just bad.i think Im going to give it a shot. on my next grow.

@1stmanny,Soil scares me. My ebb and floor flood table set up can be left on its own for a week no problem. The water buffers the pHs it's self with mature plants and dialed in nutrients. It helps to keep pushing it down to 5.5 but letting it stay for a bit at 6.5 like it naturally wants to do does not seem to hurt anything. Every few days I haul a couple 3 gal nutrient solution buckets to top it up. And every few top-ups I drain it out and give it fresh. No risk of a mess-up that I can not immediately fix. I might spend an avg of 5 mins a day dealing with them. I can instantly watch my plants give feedback and adjust their environment as needed. TLDR, hydro can be very very easy. But I am blessed with consistent 6.7 ph tap-water with <30 ppm.

@Sticky_icky, do you really feel that it's easier to grow in a hydro system than soil? I am going to keep following you, so when I am ready to jump in the hydro pond, i will let you know, so you can point me in the right direction, if its ok with you .

I had mine root in 9 days I think pal using great white mycrozines or somthing. little pot of powder stuff is magical. Its not even a hormone either its just beneficial Bactria. Take a look at mine i took like 12 clones and every one rooted now i have more plants than sense lol
