Week 3
Topped and tried to LST
Wrong move! Shoulda waited a little longer till I LSTd. Kinda stunt my plant a bit.
Got my QB 135w. And my grow tent and of course equipment!
Oh yes and started adding cal mag and correcting my environment. I had bad RH issues and I didn’t have a ph reader my first 2 weeks. Bad bad moves. But it’s okay we learn.
Week 4
And we’re off to the races ladies and gents. We have all 3 females, lovely as can be!
Oh and I guess this is the part where it just starts growing and growing and growing.
So I think when I soiled my pots in the beginning I didn’t put into consideration the amount of soil will shrink after water runs right through them so my plant kinda shrunk down. So no airflow coming to the plant from the bottom causing a shorter plant.
My solution was to cut the fabric pots about 1-2 inches from the lip, bringing the soil and the rim closer together.
Oh ya my smaller 2 gallon pot is gonna mature much quicker.
Week 7
Bam!!!! Whoa seriously unbelievable for my first grow.
The smell is so pungentttt I can’t even water it for 10 minutes without my whole garage and first floor smelling
Thank god for that carbon scrubber!!!
Seriously guys the smells are incredible. Kinda got high off a few sniffs 😜
So lovely and happy 😆
What’s up guys ending week 8 here!!
I was told my buds look airy? Uhmm any thoughts ?? I also think I was having some trouble with my roots and salt build up in the soil. So I watered a bit heavy this last run. Hope it helps!!!
Also one of my plants is much darker green and looking healthier than the other 2.
On the other note I do also have trouble with high humidity living by the coast. I try to raise the temps as much as I can to keep the humidity low. Having trouble with low 50’s!!
Do my buds look airy?
I live by the coast even with a dehumidifier in my tent, I am having trouble with RH at around 60-65. I run 2 small 6 inch fans one below, one from the top. I also run a 4 inch inline. I have a 2x2x4 tent.
Any help with dehumidifying my tent?
Hi mate!
65% RH is actually quite optimal depending on the temperature in the tent. High humidity is a problem only if you don't have proper ventilation and air circulation and mold and bud rot might happen. You should check this Vapour pressure deficit chart https://www.dimluxlighting.com/knowledge/blog/vapor-pressure-deficit-the-ultimate-guide-to-vpd/ There you can see theoretical optimum RH. Just remember to keep fresh air moving in the tent and you should be fine.
My 2 gallon is ready to harvest along with my weaker 5gallon. My other 5 gallon will remain outdoors while I harvest in week 10!
Kinda disappointed shuda pruned my 5 gallon plants earlier to increase bud size. My mistake next time, even though auto if growing in larger pots pruning is necessary especially with a large yielder. It’s okay many mistakes noted for next time.
I had to chop down 2 of my plants but wait a minute what about my 3rd beautiful lady??? Well she goes outside for now and it’s a beautiful weather out here in souther California. I honestly don’t really care much about the first 2 plants. Look at this beauty !!!!
My first 2 plants were ready by end of week 10. Total weight on that was 78 grams. Half were popcorn buds though. Had problems drying only dried for 5 days. But still smells good it’s at around 60RH in mason jars currently...
My last plant looks very healthy !!! Excited for that one I’ll chop it in the next few days making it well after the 11 week recommended mark.
8-9 inch colas on this one.
Looking good dude! You got quite the number of bud sites popping up and your girls look healthy! Good stuff good luck and happy growing m8. Looks like you’re crushing it 👊
@ChillaMayn, Anytime friend. RH being higher is definitely a tougher situation especially if your climate makes it difficult to control. However, I think as long as you’re moving the air around you should be good. My 2 cents, but I am also a new grower. Are you worried about something in particular with the high humidity?
Congratulations on the new baby. She looks good at first. Choose a good variety. Pour a treat. Keep doing what you are doing and have the growing ganja gods protect your women until the growth is complete.
