Germination didnt go to plan. 5 out of 8 seeds popped and one died off after 3 days so I'm left with 4. Not a great germination rate from Sonoma. I'm disappointed. I started with 2 Auto critical, 2 auto strawberry cough, 2 auto white widow, and 2 auto purple kush. I mixed up the seeds by accident so the plants will just be named #1-4. I could have any combination of the 8 seeds. If I have one of each that would be amazing but I'll have to grow them out and see. They will be under lights for the next 2 weeks and I will then transplant them outside on may 15th. #1 has a very strange leaf structure. The plant will be fed on organic ammendments and above ratios are for soil volume.

I woke up one morning to find #3 didn't fancy living either. So we are now down to 3, well, three-ish. I'm not too sure what to do with #1. It has 2 tops. I don't know if I should waste my legal plant count on this one. Survival of the fittest with #2 and #4 doing great. The chosen ones. I'm certain I have 2 different strains so thats nice, I will have some variety. They have been fed organic coconut water at 5mls per litre. One more week under my sf-1000 and they will be transplanted outdoors. For anyone interested in coconut water its also a natural way to pH your water down.

Has anyone come accross this mutation? Should I continue with this auto or should I pop some new beans and move on?

Hello.. Hope you are well.. I have seen many mutations over the years but tgat doesn't mean she will lack that punch or flavour ur lookin for.. Initially, she cud of had trouble at birth and is just figuring out who she is.. At most i think ur expected yeild of her will b diminished.. She still has potential tho to b a great smoke(just not lots).. 1 thing i wud say i just keep an eye on her around flowering period cuz if she herms then u cud av problems sharing her on tent with other females.. If u got spare beans start 1 off 4 backups maybe.. Ur the boss!.. Stay safe n gud luck with ur babies.. 👍🍀

These girls are doing amazing. I've had them under my spider farmer sf-1000 and I've been delighted with their progress. Today is their final day indoors. Tomorrow I will transplant to the balcony and let nature do its thing.

This week the autos were transplanted from solo cups indoor to 1 gallon smart pots and have been outdoors for the past week. The ladies got their root zone dusted with micchorizae and the transplanting went very smooth. The medium I am using is coco coir with about 40% perlite. My coco was amended with dry ammendments 2 weeks prior to transplant fully saturated by rain. My plants are super happy despite only getting 5 hours of direct sunlight a day here on my west facing balcony here on the 49th parallel in British Columbia. All of the ladies have shown sex and are in pre flower. I'm also growing companion plants to shield my plants from eyes and bugs. I'm growing a variety of wildflowers that promote biodiversity and beneficial insects along with pungent herbs like mint, coriander, lemon balm and liquorice mint. I have added insect frass to my nutrient line up as an IPM for gnats as they were a big issue last years on the balcony. Im hoping this keeps the bugs at bay this year. We have had some good sunny days along with some heavy rain which have both made the ladies very happy. We have a week of sun on the way so I'm pumped to see how they respond. Let's see how it goes!

There have been some nice developments since I last posted. Apologies, its been a while. I think I know what strains I have at this point. Super happy with their progress. Everything is going as plan so far.
