Day 20 โ The Buddha Haze Autoflower (plant #2) grow continues to thrive in the current closet grow setup. She has doubled in height since the beginning of week 2. Have not added any nutrients other than Recharge (living soil microbe), Cal/Mag, and SuperThrive. Have been watering approximately every 3-4 days.
Side shoots are becoming abundant and will begin some leaf tucking in the coming week to expose these side shoots to more light, create more fully developed bud sites, and to promote a more even canopy. - Zannabis7
@Gr33nGiant, Yeah - my understanding is you just don't know when it stops producing without the second bottle. I just change mine out weekly. Seems to be working fine to me. I got the set-up and recipe from @BudKingsGrow (thanks buddy). Anyhow, thanks for checking in on the girls and for your kind words about their beauty.
I really liked the video of your grow room. Is the Carbon Dioxide Generator new? I couldn't follow the tubing. Where does the gas emerge? I love your humidifier, fan setup. That works very nicely. In all, your plants are in cannabis nirvana.
@Quexos, Glad to hear you watched and liked the video. The Co2 generator tubes are split at the top and drop down to either side of the UFO LEDs. If you look at the picture titled "Homemade Co2 Generator" you can see two air stones on either side of the UFO lights that help disperse the Co2 more evenly. @BudKingsGrow was kind enough to share the information on making a generator.
Hey Z can I pick your brain about nutrients? I've noticed that you use a lot of nutrients. I've shunned nutrients so far, but now that my plant is flowering, I'm thinking I might want to add some flowering nutes. I'm not sure they will make a huge difference, but from what I've been reading, they seem to help a lot. I was looking at products like Bud Candy and Big Bloom? Any thoughts, or suggestions?
@Zannabis7, Hey Z. I took advantage of the sampler kit from Oregon's Only. They sent me a ton of stuff! I am going to use it on my next grow, and do a side by side comparison with Advanced Nutrients. Thanks again for all the info!
By the way, the latest picture of your full grow room is gorgeous.
@Quexos, Week 7 of any one of my current grows has a nice feeding chart that I have developed for Nectar and AutoFlowers. Feel free to print it out and use as you see fit or to customize for your own use. Best wishes.
@Zannabis7, I saw that when I went on their website. I will ask for a sample pack when I get ready to start my next grow.
I'll look into those 3 items for the finishing stage of my plant. Again, thanks for all the help!
@Quexos, Certainly sounds like the set- up would work. However, I like to mix my nutrients and aerate right before feeding. I don't like them sitting in the reservoir (unless I am away for a long period of time). My primary concern is the nutrients clogging up the automatic watering system. This is what I will find out with the system in the coming weeks/months.
@Zannabis7, yes please. I looked at several of the auto systems on Amazon. I wonder if you could set the timers and use 2 reservoirs. You could use one for fresh and one fore nutes. Air pumps that will power 2 airstones are easy to find.
@Quexos, I haven't started utilizing the auto water system yet. My plan is to run nutrients and all through the system and see what happens. I will have to keep you posted on this as i experiment with the process.
@Quexos, You got it - I will add that in to each diary after I get each separate grow updated. The Pineapple Express is no longer in the canopy. She finished to my liking as she had 85% milky trichomes, 10% amber and 5% clear. Been working on a video for the FastBuds Mega Haul.
@Endriu, Hey man! Thanks for the kind words and for dropping in. I do have some nice frost developing on my grows that have been updated (Girl Scout Cookies, Pineapple Express, Auto Kush). I used Microsoft Movie Maker for the video. Happy grows!
Nice progress Z. The plants are filling in nicely. I expected them to be bigger. It must be the autos? I don't see any evidence of training or topping. What exactly do you mean by leaf tucking? Your photos are very well done.
@Quexos, She's my smallest plant at this stage, but she is gaining quickly on the others. Should make for a fairly even flowering canopy (I hope). I did do some training with the other plants (minor bending under the SCROG net). Leaf tucking is just tucking bigger fan leaves out of the way to allow more light to side branches and bud sites. Thanks for the kind words about the photos. Best wishes...
@FadedTotoro, Thanks for looking in on the grow. Yes, the Cargo net works well, but the spacing is a little wide. We'll see how it goes once we hit the stretch. Best wishes...
That's my hope ๐ Will try to keep it evenly dispersed via the SCROG net. I grew 6 plants last grow and it seemed I could fit one more with the SCROG net. So is your thinking that I have too many plants for the space? We'll see.
Since you have already completed one grow, with your system in place, you know far better than me.
My comment was more on the beautiful greenery, and how dense it will be when finished.
