Info on seed strains...
Brothers Grimm DTC99 retail seeds
Dutch Passion Glueberry OG hermie seeds from a clone of a retail seed grown parent. (Don't hate)
Everything else is bag seed from known strains. (Again...Don't hate)
The two clones are Glueberry OG from the above mentioned parent stock.
The cat (and her sister) came from a rescue shelter a few years ago.
Burned the girls a little with the lamp Moved up and watered will and things are taking off.
Lost five to various reasons.
Also included the other half of Canna-Guard. She isn't quite as diligent as her sister.
Moved the brood outside for a while today.
Update...added pics of the arm clones..they are outside daily now.
Brood handled outside time well and seem happy. Even the weaklings are coming along.
Soil is Organic with composted manure, perlite and coco mixed in. No nutes. Watering with creek water starting yesterday. (That's good nutes in and of itself for now)
No foliar spray, never have. But thinking about it with the creek water.
I'm open to suggestions and ill keep lurking grow diaries. Gonna mainline some of these. Be a first for that as well.
Update...brood outside again for a while today. loungers came in handy for shade.
See roots in cup and worry about light hurting the roots. Thinking about switching out the see through cups and putting the larger plants in pots.
Cold weather is killing me!!! These plants need to be outside and in larger pots. I've transplanted some, but have to hang on until the temps stabilize on Wednesday.
The smallest plants and a couple of the DTC99 will go back under lights once the tent arrives.
No nutes. Creek water. Using the creek water as a foliar spray as well.
Gonna top soon.
Update: Topped the larger plants today. Most all in pots now. Got lots of rain and warm temps. Tents will be here Monday so some will go back under lights. They won't like it, but should fare well at this age.
Started topping yesterday. Got some real vigorous growth happening. The rain earlier in the week, and now, have made me thankful for pot drainage. I'm worried about flushing good stuff from my soil. So an amendment if probably in order. Compost tea and top dressing with Dr. Earth Organic.
The arm girls are bushing up well.
Brood is soggy yet seems happy.
New LED arrived today for the tents. - King LED 1500.
DTC99 and Glueberry repotted into final pots. Some of these are going into tents for flowering.
Will keep a couple of the DTC99 for the outdoor grow to compare.
Topping complete.
Update: Tents almost ready. Am using side lighting throughout flower to see if it makes a difference.
KingLED 1500W for top lighting and 6 or 8 bay high output flouro for side lighting.
4 plants per tent. 4 DTC99 and 4 Glueberry total.
05/31/2020 - Plants inside tents. Will start flowering ASAP. Defoliation will start in a few days as I just re-potted a day or two ago, and would like the roots to settle first.
Tents populated with 4 DTC99 in tent 2, and 4 Glueberry OG in tent 1.
Lights on 12/12 with both veg and bloom switches on. Side lighting at half strength. (Took the girls about a week to adjust back to artificial light, but I think the side lighting helped). The DTC99 plants are just starting to resume growth, while the GBOG seems to have not missed a beat.
Added mammoth P and Humic Acid to the last watering. Last application of fish emulsion as well. Switching to Bio-bloom and not sure what else next.
Update..light defoliation resumed. DTC99 on the grow path again. GBOG getting buck wild in the tent.
Feeding every other watering...
Tent grow doing well.
DTC99 has finally recovered from topping and is growing again. (Now I understand why topping was NOT recommended for this strain.) Veg and Bloom lights for now.
Glueberry is flowering well. Spinning them a quarter turn per day to ensure even lighting. Bloom lights only now.
Sorry no updates lately.
Have aphid problem in tents and has spread to greenhouse. Tried spray, root treatments and now, ladybugs. Had to pull one plant it was so bad. Been on the road last couple weeks so trying to treat and care through a super neighbor. She is doing her best, but not a cultivator. No grower friends will come over for fear of contamination. Aphid battles are a lonely experience....
The plants have developed fairly well in spite of the challenges.
Yield will be subpar though.
