Sitting at home during the lockdown, not being able to make the trip to our Dutch neighbors, i decided it was time to become self-sufficient. I got my setup together and started my first grow. It is kind of a trial run, so i used cheap seeds from a supplier not even mentioned in the possibilities on this website. I'm growing two plants. They are both Sour Diesel Haze Auto's. I germinated them 60hrs apart. I figured it would give me a chance for a redo. If i messed something up i would have a second chance. KIND QUESTION: I am severely colorblind. Can't tell yellow, green, brown and red apart from each other. Really guys. My childhood bedroom was coca cola red, I was once successfully convinced by a friend that the moon was kind of green that night, and a stranger stopped me in the street at one point, just to tell me my outfit was so mismatched it kind of made her angry. So I'm counting on you guys to let me know if you see some discoloration on these plants. Thank's for looking out! Here we go. This is week one. The first seed germinated nice. I overdid it a bit . The cotyledons were already showing when i lifted up the paper towel. After planting it in the soil took right off. The second seed germinated ok, but after transplanting something strange happened: 3 cotyledons are popping out of the soil.

Plant 1 took off great. At first it had a bend in it's stem. I'm using a single cluster of my lamp, close to the seedlings.I guess it made the stem Ben Dover a bit. I started to turn the pts around every now and then. It didn't solve the issue, but it didn't get worse either. When the stem got thicker during the week it solved itself. By now it's growing upwards nicely. Yesterday i noticed the edges curling upwards. After some research i'm guessing it's because the lamp is too close. I raised the lamp an inch or two. The leaves aren't fully uncurling, but once again: it didn't get worse. Okido. Plant 2 is a bit of a different story. At first it looked like three cotyledon leaves were popping up. I was looking forward to having a whorled phyllotaxis on the first grow. Bet when i got a clear view it became clear that it's actually two cotyledons, but one of them is some sort of a 'siamese twin' leave with two heads. I guess you get the genetics you pay for. Out of the 3-ish deformed cotyledons there are only two real leaves developing. One of them was squashed up in the siamese leaf. It had to struggle a lot to spread out and get a grow on. It has a longer stem then plant 1. I'm guessing that it didn't got enough light trough the underdeveloped real leaves and started reaching a bit. It set the plant back a few days. But I still love my deformed leggy sprout. Rooting for ya.
