So my last grow (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/53506-humboldt-seeds-green-crack-grow-journal-by-chato84) I accidentally killed by re-using a sprayer that contained concentrated vinegar -- I suppose I didn't rinse well enough. So this is a do over of that grow.
Green Crack feminized seed.
Starting in Fox Farms ocean forest soil.
I germinated the seed in the soil while the pot was in a plastic container for a greenhouse like effect to retain moisture.
Removed it from the container after day 3 above soil as it started to stretch
Update on day 7, added a photo, really hot week low-mid 90's.
I don't think I'm going to top it this time, just let it do its thing.
Not watering a lot, just keeping the soil slightly moist.
I put in first nutes yesterday, just a cup of 3-9-4
Still doing well, haven't noticed any pest activity yet (fingers crossed). It's going to get warm this coming week, but it seems to really like it under the red sun sails I have set up.
Looking nice and green and getting a decent amount of new growth.
Fed it a banana peel tea on day 30. Watering it consistently but not a lot of water.
It's a little bit skunky smelling when I sniff the top.
I also ended up getting a bunch of bag seed in my Black Jack flower I got from a dispensary so I decided to plant two. One came up, I may start a separate journal... depends.
Keeps getting bigger every day.
Just tap water, banana tea and dr bloom big buds for nutes.
Not sure if I should let this turn into a tree and flower in fall naturally, or force flower early in a few weeks.
Well on the 9th week of flowering I had to chop due to discovering some bud rot. Crazy how quick it can show up, and buds just started turning brown and falling off. Glad I caught it when I did. Trichomes were milky but was hoping I could wait for some more amber colors, oh well not a big deal the potency is strong and I don't like sleepy weed. Currently drying in a wardobe moving box, with the top open for circulation. I think I'll have close to 2 ounces once I finish drying and clip the buds off the stalk. The smell of this green crack is great, sweet, creamy and of course a bit earthy.
