May 4th: Counting this as my second grow; I've popped an Auto Lowryder Fem seed in water to soak in my tent. Another i49 seed bank seed, this was actually the first strain that I had intended to grow when I set out to acquire my gear and before I fell into the rabbit hole of seed options. Wanted to try it because it's supposed to stay very small, and finish in a timely manner. Plus it's a lower THC strain that might be nice for when things need doing.
May 6th, 2pm: in the past hour the seed split and put out a taproot. It is now situated comfortably, pointy side down in a Rapid Rooter plug, enjoying the bubbling waters of it's new DWC home.
May 16th, Day 7: I've added more clay pebbles to the net pot, and swapped out the reservoir with a week two feeding from General Hydroponics 3-part Flora series feeding schedule. This plan to certainly stretching more than my previous grow, but not by much.
May 23rd, Day 14: today I swapped the reservoir with a freshly mixed batch of general hydroponics feeding schedule week 3 late growth. The fourth node was developed so I have topped it there, in an experiment of autoflowering topping. One strand of root broke off while I was prepositioning my air stone.
May 25th, Day 16: The plant is reacting very well to topping, and it appears that somehow I have managed to clip off the top and the node 5 fan leaf growths but the node 5 branch growths are still coming in so I will have a four branched top, it appears. I ended up retopping the plant at the 4th node.
May 30th, Day 21: the plant appears to continue to be doing well. I have mixed a fresh batch of week 3 nutrients from the General Hydroponics feeding schedule. As I reached the floralicious plus in my mixing recipe I was distracted by reports of looting and riot police a few blocks away so I mistakenly gave the plant a full strength dose instead of a half dose.
June 4th, Day 25: I can see pre-flower growths at the bases of the nodes so I've done a heavy defoliation to get more light to the lower branches.
June 7th, Day 28: today I mixed a fresh batch of week 3 late growth feed from the general hydroponics recirculating nutrients schedule. At the bases of the branch growths I am seeing pre-flowers appearing.
June 14th, Day 35: I have mixed a batch of transitional bloom nutrients from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule. The plant has expressed the female gender and is beginning to put out pistil starts
June 21, Day 42: today I mixed a batch of the early bloom phase one from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule. The water line was higher than usual so I used a few strings around the plant to anchor it. There is no discernible notes in the odor yet and pistils continue to get longer.
June 28th, Day 49: I have mixed a 3.5gal batch of the Early Bloom Phase II from the General Hydroponics recirculating feed schedule, at half strength. The plant does not really have much of a cannabis smell, instead smelling more like a shrub, or an herb I'd have in my kitchen. Looking great though!
July 5th, Day 56: today I mixed fresh batch of early bloom phase two from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule, mixed at half strength. for the past 2 days I have been experiencing heightened humidity levels for which I have brought in a dehumidifier, but after doing some further defoliation on the extremely bushy Auto Lowryder, My humidity levels have greatly reduced; I believe that the problem was stemming from an excess of transpiration condensation sites.
June 12th, Day 63: mid bloom phase one at half strength from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule. Plant is doing well, smells like a feed grass like fescue or something.
July 19th, Day 70: today I mixed a batch of mid-bloom phase 2 at half strength, from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule. changing the water reservoir I noticed that the previous week was a very thirsty week for the plant, leaving not much left in the bucket. The buds are starting to fill out and trichromes are starting to appear very finely along the sugar leaves. The smell of feed grain, fescue, has lessened and I think I'm getting a hint of citrus but the Gorilla Glue number four next to the Lowryder might just be getting stinky.
July 26, Day 77: today I mixed a batch of mid bloom phase three at half strength from the general hydroponics recirculating feed schedule. The plant drank a lot of water this past week, and a couple of the upper branches on the primary cola were discolored from heat.
July 28, Day 79: letting her buck and do her thing, added some string support today to keep branches from snapping from weight.
