March 24th - Starting of germination.
Soaked 12 hours in water then put between towels until the germ is 0.5-1cm.
March 26th - The seed is ready to be planted outdoor in a 0.5L pot.
March 29th - The plant has sprouted !
April 5th - The plant is growing well, she's now 3cm and has been transplanted to a 2L pot.
I'm using Bio Vega by Biocanna during the vegetative stage with 2ml/L
Sadly I don't have any pictures for this week
April 13th - Rain is coming, temperature are dropping a little bit but the plant roots have reached the bottom of the pot. The plant has been sheltered on a window sill so the pot is not soaked wet wich will ease the transplant.
April 15th - There's been rain for 2 days but the plant is fine, it measures 6cm with 3 sets of leaves . She's been transplanted to a 7L pot.
April 21th - The rain has stop and temperatures are going back up but the sun stay hidden by the clouds
April 24th - Weather is great again and the plant in full sun is growing better since her transplant. Her height is 12cm for 4 sets of leaves
April 30th - Today I've removed the starting branches from the first two nodes, they usually don't reach enough light in flowering to yield well.
Roots are already visible in the bottom of the pot. She reached 18cm with her 5 sets of leaves
May 2nd - The plant is growing great, her newt and final pot has been prepared.
May 4th - Lot of sun lately she's healthy and growing fast, the 7L pot will soon be too tight for her. She's 21cm tall with 5 sets of leaves.
May 6th - It's time to transplant this lady in her final pot, she's now 24cm tall with 6 sets of leaves.
May 8th - The plant adapts well to her new 50L container, 29cm for 6 sets of leaves. Next week I will top the main stem to make her bushier.
May 10th - The plant is healthy but forecast predict a lot of rain this week. She's 35cm tall with 7 sets of leaves, she's ready to be topped but I want to do it on a clear day without rain.
May 13th - Weather is pretty cloudy but no rain so it's time to top her. After this operation, I foliar spray some Propolix (2ml/1L), it's a fungicide and tissue regenerator. She's now 39cm tall
May 15th - Another day without much sun, although the plant seems to appreciate, it still recovers from the topping but the new shootings are starting to grow. (41cm 7 sets of leaves)
May 18th - Sun is back again and the plant really looks good, she has grown to 49cm in 3 days. Do you think I should LST her before her stretch ? Because I'm affraid she grows too tall.
I wasn't home this week. It's been a really hot and dry week but thanks to her large container and an already well developped root structure I'm sure she's doing fine.
May 31th - I'm back home and she grew quite nicely, as expected she didn't suffer from the lack of care during my absence. During those 10 days she grew 27cm taking her to a height of 76cm with 9 sets of leaves. We can see the effect of the topping, she's now a lot bushier and the two main apical stems are now about 25-30cm tall. The only negative aspect is that some leaves have been a bit eaten by insects, I will spray Neem Oil next week to prevent it from happening again. She starts to smell too, a nice lemony smell !
Forecast predicts some rainy days for this week.
June 2nd - There's no rain today so I've done a foliar treatment against insects with Neem Oil, I think there's a few spider mites living on the lower leaves.
June 6th - Hot and sunny weather today, she seems to be healthy but didn't grow much during this week.
I don't really know when the really hot days will start to be usual, we've got a lot of rain in this ending spring which is a good thing in regard of water consumption.
