Hey guys!,
Here I am trying for the Zamensia Contest.
So I have two blueberry automatic plants growing in a greenhouse.
I'm doing a small fabric vs pot test just for fun.
They have 10 Litres of substrate made from 90% light germination soil + 10% perlite and the Zamnesia Monster Bud Mix.
I'm not gonna give them any more nutrients to test out the zamnesia nutrient mix and see the results.
Another nice week.
Fabric is flowering nicely and without problems.
Pot is still growing nicely and not showing any signs of flowering which is quite interesting as they are both in the same environment and with same conditions.
Pot has shown some rust in a couple leaves but it hasn't spread so I'm not gonna worry about it for now.
Day 34 - The difference is getting bigger every day and pot still shows no sign of flower, quite amazing. I repeat, conditions are the same except the container.
Sorry for not posting on week 6 guys but I was away at hospital and couldn't make it.
Day 43 - Defoliated them and found a caterpillar on Fabric, luckily it only ate a few of the bottom leaves.
The difference between them is quite massive and quite the sight.
There seems to be 2 different phenos at work If I were to guess.
Pot started to flower on day 40! Whereas Fabric did it on day 24.
I'm expecting for fabric to be finished around the 9 week mark and Pot to go around the 12/13 week mark.
Another good week, good growth and no problems so far.
There is some leaf rust but it's quite minimal and I would even say normal considering the high humidity it's been these days.
I'm quite impressed with Zamnesia's nutrient mix, they seem to be really healthy and getting all they need.
Pot has 102 cm and Fabric has 43cm.
Fabric is smelling really nicely and the buds are getting nice and fat, I reckon she'll be nice and mature in a couple weeks.
Pot still has about 4 weeks left I think.
Really curious to see the final harvest weight of these two ladies.
Hey Guys,
This week there was some damage from botrytis in the Fabric, managed to detect it early and stopped watering her for a few days to dry her up a little and with some sunny weather now it stopped spreading. Gonna harvest her soon, maybe next weekend, trichomes still a bit clear.
Pot got a nice defoliation to let the sun hit all them beautiful flowers still a few weeks before she's ready.
Hey guys,
Harvested fabric on day 65, there was no new growth for the past week and trichomes were milky and ready. Flushed her a week before. Had some trouble with botritys unfortunately, there was a lot of humidity two weeks ago and I had watered a bit too much and she didn't resist, still it was not too much of a damage and most of the buds are ok. She smells ok,
I expected a bit more yield honestly but considering how low maintenance she was I think it went okay. She was also quite fast being ready in just 65 days.
Pot still has a few weeks to go with mostly white flowers still, curious to see how she develops.
Hey guys,
Pot is still flowering nicely and buds are swelling up good.
Fabric yielded 10gr after a light manicure, all in all not a bad result.
After some inspection of the root system I noticed that it was poorly developed and that probably was the main reason for it being so small.
I just don't understand why it didn't develop like Pot is doing, it's not related to the substrate because pot is doing fine, the roots never reached the edge of the fabric.
I had some big problems with botrytis although it's not the strains fault it was just a very humid summer this year.
Had to do a careful triming process to separate the good buds from the bad ones. lost quite a bit of buds.
Other than that it was a very easy grow, good strain for beginners I believe. The nutrients from zamnesia worked quite well.
In regards to the pot vs fabric experiments, I guess it was a bit inconclusive cause I'm currently using the fabric pot with another strain and she is growing beautifully.
I have no idea why the fabric blueberry didn't grow as much as the pot one.
