Fingers crossed they hatched, stoked, happy happy😃, first grow underway👊. Have checked on my girl 15 times + today, and again before I go to bed. Just water for now. Five days 24 hr lights on, 2 days 20 hr light cycle🙏.
So far so good👌 however, after reading the fine print on the label of nutrients I was sold, it says to be used for hydroponics only😰. Lesson 1. Do not assume the retailer is giving you the best advice. Do your research before your first grow, know what you want and save on unnecessary spend.
I am surprised that a 2 week old plant gives of that sweet ganja smell, very noticeable within the closet that its growing, not so much in the room with the closet.
Not feeling confident moving forward, unsure how to proceed now it's starting to flower. Will keep trying to suppress vertical growth by tie downs and tucking leaves out of the way. The stalk pretty much lying flat on dirt, probably will raise it an inch or so in week 4 for air flow.
Small plant, sweet citrus smell. Have added an oscillating fan as temperatures rose to 30 degrees Celsius, average temp around 28.5. Currently using a range of ingredients from local hardware store to make my own custom nutrient mixes.
Growth seems to have slowed, packing on some weight on the flowers all be it small flowers, happy happy. Aroma is getting stronger, sweet citrus. Defoliated larger leaves. 😊
Some trichomes are starting to brown up, hopefully I can get at least another 3 - 4 weeks growth.
Lots of learning this week. Overall growth seems to have slowed. Very pungent smells consuming the room. Tip burns and some leave curl showing.
This week, learnt the difference between trichomes and pistils. Need to aquire a EC meter for better nutrient control. Noticeable difference in active growth when I added a heater to bring temp from 20 up to a steady 25 degrees Celsius.
Been told I'm too rough handling this plant however, I cant help myself feeling the flowers and giving them a squeeze and taking in the aroma. Lesson is to leave the buds alone so I don't squash the trichomes. Cutting back on feed, to a bio organic manure tea.
Trichomes are about 2% amber, flush started today using H2O @ 6.5 PH. Further nutrient burn noticeable on leaves. Lesson is to get a trusted PH meter preferably Bluelab product.
