I've been thinking about trying a different rotation for a while now. I was popping one every 20 days but that's not cutting it for smoke and edibles. So I've decided to increase my yields and have a bit of variety at the same time. I am going to do four at a time and have around 35 days between starting new runs now.
I've gone with all FastBuds strains this run and Blue Dream 'matic is the first of them. I've had these beans for a bit now and figured it was time to finally start one.
Just getting everything under way, I will update more over the next couple days as they pop and I get them into their new homes.
The Blue Dream'matic is also looking ok despite the 4" stretch. It's going to take a week or two before they strengthen up and I don't have to worry about them flopping over because of the fan. It's all indirect air flow, but still enough to push them over in their current state. I have faith they will turn around and grow up to be big healthy ladies, with many juicy buds.
The Blue Dream 'matic is definitely not bothered by the light or temp in the tent. She seems to be responding well to mild nutes and her environment. Still have the supports on til she is a bit stronger.
The Blue Dream 'matic seems to be doing good this week, it along with the Fastberry are both improving from the stretch at germination and have had their supports removed. I'm confident these two will be fine and grow up big and healthy. The other two I'm not sure about... but we'll get to that in the other diaries.
Day 29 and the Blue Dream 'matic is doing ok. The stalk has thickened up quite a bit over the past week, but not a ton of upward growth. She is one of the two healthier plants in her tent at the moment. I probably shouldn't have started these til my second tent was 100% operational, I think jumping the gun may have had a negative impact on this grow. It's been a challenge trying to regulate the environment in there to say the least.
The Blue Dream 'matic has seen some nice growth over the past week. She's looking pretty healthy overall, but like her three tent mates, all got off to a slow start due to environmental issues with the new tent. I'm pretty optimistic she'll be worth the effort in the end.
Not too much to report with the Blue Dream 'matic since last time. She's filling in and starting to show bud sites but I don't think she's gonna get very tall.
The Blue Dream'matic has seen some nice growth since my last update. 10" of upward growth and she is starting to fill in a bit. There are buds starting to emerge everywhere. I don't think she is going to get too much taller, hopefully just concentrates on growing fat nugs now.
Well, despite the cramped conditions in this ones space, she continues to do just fine. Not the biggest plant ever, but nice structure. A little far behind as far as budding is concerned. I think there should be more bulk for this stage, but I am noticing daily improvements.
Not too much progress over the last week. She is slowly plumping up, but not very fast. Environmental issues have cursed this run from day 1, poor ventilation, crappy light etc. I can't wait til I harvest these ones, I'll then take the time to get everything setup 100% before I start anything else in there. I was actually thinking of making it my hot pepper environment, I just start some Carolina Reapers and they're gonna need a home.
Not too much to report over the last week. The buds are slowly swelling, I'm hoping they pick it up a bit before we're all done. Had a little bit of clawing in the upper leaves but seems healthy otherwise. I'm not really expecting much from this grow.
I flushed this one a week or so ago as it seemed to have a bit of nitrogen toxicity going on. She seems to be doing better the last few days as a result. Definitely noticed some bulking of the buds this past week. I gave her some nutes today and will probably begin to flush for harvest on her next watering. I'm guessing another 10 days or so before she's ready to chop.
I'm quite happy overall... beautiful quality buds, I only wish she yielded another zip or two 😏. But that's always the case lol. Really looking forward to popping another one of these exquisite beans in the near future.
