My Fastberry seems to be doing the best out of the four FastBuds strains I started. I removed the support from the stalk as it has strengthened enough to support it's own weight. There was a day that I looked in the tent and it was laying down on the coco, it had stretched out too far and collapsed. I thought it was a goner but it is now the healthiest one of the four.
@TeflonDonFarms, Me too! I need to do another one of these and do it properly this time. I love the smell of this plant. Not gonna end up with much from this one, but what's there looks real nice.
@Tazard, It must just boil down to differences in strains and how they react to environment. I've never really had this problem with a seedling before. Hopefully the increase in distance helps get it back on track.
I didn't want to have my good lights too high at first, the seedlings all stretched to 4" within the first 36 hours above soil as a result of using the weak LED panel and I didn't want them reaching for light until they strengthened up a bit. They're all supported now, just need to get through these first few weeks and everything should be ok.
@Squirrel_Master, some like tons of light. My first grow I had Acid Dough 2-3” below an AC cooled HPS (78F at glass) and she loved it I pulled her down twice and she went back so I left her. There is a lot of belief that the “sweet spot “ for the light should be just above the canopy so they have something to strive for, of course that’s only while they are still growing. I use (1) 125-145 watt LED above each plant in the tent.
