She got a bit tall so I decided to bury the pot for some extra vertical space. As I'm a bit late to LST the whole plant someone suggested to try some supercropping to still be able to keep the plant low. This is my first time doing HST so I hope I didn't do too bad.
Edit: I've probably been a bit too rough with my first supercrops. I got to take it a low slower, warm up the stalk some more, slowly twist and bend some. The guide I followed said to only pinch in one direction until it bends, which I did, but didn't turn out too well. Hopefully she'll recover so I can continue using LST to lead her around the tent. I took off all the dead leaves leaving more sun to the ones that are still growing. Luckily I still have plenty of time to veg :).
After supercropping three days ago leaves started to claw, some are partially or fully floppy, there's some brown areas forming along veins and some are getting pale. Is this normal? Could it be something else like overwatering?
You just did some HST. If the nutrient symptoms existed before, go ahead and try something, but otherwise give it some time to heal. That's major damage to vascular tissue that could cause all sorts of symptoms or exacerbate something that is borderline etc etc...
She seems to have recovered and growing well. One branch on the first node died off sadly. It has been a rainy windy cloudy week, not much sun. I'll start slowly LSTing her soon.
I should have put her to flowering already but I haven't had time to come up with a good idea to keep her dark yet. Lots of tiny bugs on the underside of the leaves because of high humidity. Fed her along with some spinosad and defoliated some to let through some more light and hopefully get rid of most of the bugs. This week my dehumidifier will arrive so I won't have to worry about humidity anymore, especially when sealing her up to keep everything nice and dark. Will probably top her as well to have some more control of the height.
She seems to be doing pretty well. She stopped stretching much a couple of weeks into flowering, which is very nice because of the limited space. I stopped covering her at night since last week as one of my other plants has been flowering for a week or two. Hope I didn't accidentally disturb flowering by doing so.
Someone suggested to defoliate some. As I was defoliating I discovered the lower part of my plant had budrot. I decided to cut off all the affected branches and lollipop to provide as much space and airflow as possible, hoping it won't return. There was one main branch that had a small bud on the lower part that seemed to be affected (one berry or whatever it's called was brown), but I didn't want to kill the entire main cola, so I just took off the affected part and hope it hasn't spread yet.
Humidity outside is high, dehumidifier and exhaust don't seem to help that. Mold is spreading. She's on approximately day 72 of 90-95 according to breeder specification. What should I do?
you best option may be to chop her and deal with the mold and get some good bud out of it, or you can finish it and make hash out of the whole thing as the water will wash away the mold and you still get a harvest, if you harvest early then you still have some good bud if you carefully get rid of the mold, , if the mold is spreading you may lose a harvest unless like i said you make hash or another concentrate.
i would harvest early and cut my loss, we live and grow another day. you will be better prepared next time though
