Wow, do these smell amazing. Virtually not 'hay' or 'green' smell early on during drying. Not as dense as Nova OG but tasts so much better. These have the greasy/oily feel vs. just sticky. When i snip it up in the shotglass, it cleans the sides as opposed to a layer of white-dried up triches. My Durban Poison harvest last year did this too.

A sweet candy smell mixed with something else. Almost like tasting skittles just from inhaling.

These can hit their advertised harvest marks for sure. NOG is probably a better yielder due to density of resulting nugs, but BBM is no slouch either. I've only got a 54oz jar filled from the BBM plant. So, it's a minimum 2 oz plus any additional if denser than average based on filling that jar up in the past. I'll be re-running this plant again as soon as the inhouse genetic seeds are out of the way.

Good potency. I've not smoked much as it is only 2 weeks from harvest. I want these to get a full cure so I can enjoy them properly. This is my first keeper plant. Like the smell, taste and most importantly potency.

Why 9 of 10? I doubt it is the ultimate due to small sample of my experience. Maybe a year from now i'll look back on this and want to bump it to a "10" but at moment i think i can find better, still. I'll hand out a 10 when something sets itself so far ahead of others that it is no opinion.

These are great nugs, but not the taste I am going for. Other than that, it's a great plant. Easy to grow. Nice tight, dense nugs.

I'm not weighing things anymore.. no reason to disturb them from the jars and such for an e-peen. It can be a good yielding plant based on density of nugs. Pack those colas in there and it'll easily reach advertised yields.

Second run went smoothly. Clearly the fungal infection caused some abnormalities of the first run, but people sure did like those pictures, including the breeder. Shows you that the appearance on the outside is only part of the story.

** Not an endorsement of the product. The information is outstanding, though. If you follow the link, you'll see it isn't a typical 'sales' page. It's informational, then it does get to a product at some point. It does a good job explaining how to compare products and the limitiations of some of the specifications often used. It even tells you how to grow your own.

@Nobody01, Thanks for the answer. No algae on top, all down low. I didn’t mention that this pot has no drainage. Should make things considerably more difficult. It is what it is. This is a novelty plant just for kicks I blocked all the light by putting black gorilla tape around pot. Should die , if not at least I won’t see it lol

@NorCal_Kannabliss, This is my first grow diary, but not my first grow. Taking micro bio and org chem for fun earlier in my life has helped a lot lately, lol. For some reason in undergrad I took a lot of "weed-out" classes for other rmajors, lol. Soc 304 with an easy "A?" Nope, not for me.

Vegetative Area - "240W" Driver, 6-strip LED that runs under 200 watts. A 48" length split in two sections. I keep up to 6 donors on the side (20"x32") with 2 strips about 12" apart over the 'donor area,' and the other side has the remaining 4 strips about 8" apart covering up to 28"x28" 'crop area.' Simply a wooden frame with polyfilm wrapped around it. Velcro front for easy access, mesh intakes on side and mesh/hooded ceiling. Added a raised bench to handle drainage. This thing looks like a hobo's mansion. No pictures of the outside... ever Bwahaha, it was put together as an afterthought with spare parts.

Bloom Area - (2) "240W" drivers, 12-strips LED 5" apart running around 400 watts or less. They are about 13"-16" from canopy. This covers a 12.5 sq. ft. area. Box is lined with polyfilm and plenty of circulation. Added a raised bench with some drainage buckets, not seen in picture. https://growdiaries.com/diaries/62196-gorrila-glue-4-white-widow-durban-poison-grow-journal-by-nobody01/week/312239#gallery=2349134. Light labrynth ducts are built into side walls.

Pots: 3 gallon polyfilm bags, disposable

Substrate used (Delayed - Dec 20-Jan21)
1 part sphagnum peat moss
1 part vermiculite
40 g/ft^3 dolomitic lime
10 g/ft^3 gypsum

Fertilizer is a simple "Jack's 3-2-1" but slightly diluted from instructions. At moment I am maximizing Part A (3.45g/gal) without going over 200ppm potassium, then adding enough Part B (2.1g/gal) to get to ~130ppm nitrogen. I do this due to fairly hard water. Maximizing Part A's nitrogen reduces calcium in formula and gives more headroom for increasing cal-nitrate for hungrier strains. Magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) at 1g/gal dose always seems best with my hard tap water. 3.45g / 2.1g / 1g per gallon.

Check out the spreadsheet linked below in next comment, sorted by date.

Hello...Philindicus tells me your doing great things with JR Peters products, so I thought I would give you a follow and learn a few things. I'm currently doing my first DWC grow in the Jacks 3-2-1 style, but with Master Blend nutrients (more readily available to me in Canada). So far, for a first attempt, it's working well,.Only another 5 weeks or so for me to ef it up, lol. I see you have some great links and info listed here. Thanks, much appreciated.:v::sunflower::on::fire:.

@DeaneR, Sorry, haven't been getting notifications from profile comments lately. Should have great results - keep ec/pH/biome in check etc. Only thing i'd recommend is to only use that nutrient setup until it's clockwork to harvest. Then dabble in the different mixes for different phases or any other sophistication like bloom boosters etc. Form a good baseline, first. FWIW, I'm still in midst of that process too.

@GDub51, I've seen anecdotal videos of it used as a rooting agent for clones too. I'll have to check out the research paper when i have more time. I like reading white papers and the like. That web site isn't liking my vpn much.

@masterofsmeagol, hey, no problem.. hope it helped. I think you just needed confirmation of what you were going to do, eh? :) Looked like a cool setup. Wish i lived in a region where outside growing was more feasible.
