Day 72: Based on the answers I got from my grow question, but also on the feeling in my gut, I think it's time to harvest. She stagnated pistil production and the existing ones turn to amber more and more. Her sugar leaves are full of milky trichomes and also her remaining fan leaves start to become yellow. I do not want to let her ripe for too long as I prefer a energizing head high instead of a couch lock body high. Day 73: Oh boy, what a day. Today I got my jeweller's loupe, so I was ready to check her status and see whether the trichomes were already milky. And they were, with a couple of them already starting to turn amber throughout her buds. In combination with yesterday's findings I was convinced it was only a matter of days now, before harvesting. I didn't know what was still waiting for me that day. I was already skeptical due to the changing weather, with lots of rain. The last couple of days we had heavy showers in the evening but yesterday it started to rain and wouldn't stop at night. Which meant that temperatures dropped to ~20Β°C while RH dropped to just ~75% at night while staying at 100% during the day. So even though everything looked fine in the morning I kept a close eye on her buds. Luckily I did, otherwise I wouldn't have seen one of the sugar leaves turning yellow. Having read that this is a clear sign of bud rot I turned to action immediately, pruning the affected parts and those around it. After I've seen the forecast for the next week I knew that this wouldn't get any better, so I decided that her time had come.

Should I consider removing lower/smaller branches and/or lower leaves to concentrate her energy in the top?

Hi there! I think there is lots of different ways to do it but I would let her grow naturally at this point and when the stretch is coming to an end (week2-3) you can remove the ones that are not going to grow completely. Or you can just let her grow completely naturally to see how it should look kinda

Hi fellow growers, Again I have to kindly ask for your help. She's in week 7 now, the 2nd week of flowering. I've noticed only the two largest leaves to shift towards a brighter green, almost yellowish. I'm hoping it's because of the flowering but I'm far from sure. Thanks

Hi friends, Would you please help me in judging her status and estimating when to harvest? I've read a lot about growing and when to harvest, but in real life I'm not sure at all. I'm anxious about not being able to tell and harvest too early or too late. Thank you!

She's quite close I would say. Maybe another weekish . Best way for me is to use a Jewellers loop(they're very cheap) and look at the trichomes. I try to aim for all cloudy trichs with about 5 to 10 percent amber. For me that is the sweetspot . If you can't do that you want all or most of the orange hairs to curl inwards . I'd suggest letting them go longer than you think. As I can say from experience harvesting to early will just give you a spacey high . Which is a shame when you have spent months growing . Let them ripen up nicely with a good flush and you'll have some nice smoke on your hands. Happy growing 🌱

Ha I like what you did with those bolts! Think ill try that in the future!

@GrowingGracie, I got the idea from growing larger plants (apples, peaches) where a clothes peg is attached to a small block of cement that is then attached to branches, pulling them down & fanning them out. So far it worked nicely on my little one too, hope you're having a positive result as well, should you decide to give it a try! Cheers, have a nice day

1 thousand and all the reasons to grow Think Big
leone

@DoDrugs420, Marisol was one of three. Her siblings had the pleasure of growing at friends of mine and we still have some of them in our "keepsake" jars - for special occasions πŸ˜‚ I liked her a lot, which was one of the reasons why this year I wanted to give AK 420 a shot. Still, Think Big has absolutely convinced me and I wouldn't be too surprised if there'll be another Think Big in my garden in the foreseeable future 😊

@MisterSix, thanks dude, that she was! Bit sad I won't be able to adore her every day anymore. But I have the feeling it won't be too long until there'll be someone new ;)
