This grow will be critical kush genetics from Barney's Farm (feminized photoperiod) I've wanted to grow this strain quite awhile now. I've had a lot of successful grows with critical mass so naturally let's throw some kush into the mix even better! Once again this grow will be fully organic living soil there will be no chelated chemicals or harsh granule fertilizers used in this grow at all. The magic will all come from my own worms, worm castings, casting/compost teas a clover cover crop and the organic soil that I've created and kept alive for the last 2 months. I will be heavily training this plant and taking my time with it before switching it to flower. I'm looking for a strong wide heathy plant and a nice productive harvest. I will keep a detailed journal for those who are interested so stay tuned!

Week 2 went fast with zero issues from this strain it has become my favorite of current grows as of now based on structure, growth rate and it's overall healthiness. I have a feeling this is going to be a really nice plant by flower. I gave her her first worm tea this week and a foliar spray as well. Other then that I'm gradually pushing the light intensity daily hoping to reach my veg lights max output shortly without stressing it. Also rigged my light to move for me check out the video of it moving that mover cost me about 4 feet of tie down wire and that's it keep that in mind if your on a budget! You don't have to buy one if you get creative! Anyway I'm having a good time with this can't what to start training on the coming weeks. As always if your interested in Barney's Farm genetics or critical kush specifically or if your interested in organic/living soil grows follow me and let's watch her grow!

Hello everyone we're back for week 3 veg with Barney's farm critical kush and just like last week I'm still very impressed with this plant I love it's structure it's very broad and symmetrical it will be fun training it! This week critical kush has max output on my veg light a growth rate is steadily raising. The plant needs for nothing and is healthy as can be. These Genetics have been great so far. I gave it a second worm tea meal and lowered the light it's averaging 28,000 lux and loving it. I've given the clover a haircut around the girl they were trying to shoot past her. I leave the clippings around the base of the plant to be recycled and broken down by microbes into fertilizers for her. I'm looking forward to next week but until then if you like Barney's farm genetics critical kush specifically or if your into organic growing hit that like and follow button and watch her grow with me!

Welcome everybody to week 4 veg with these great critical kush genetics from Barney's farm! This week the plant had a good growth burst it shot out four new growth nodes and I decided to top it. I did so in a manner that actually left me in great position to convince her to grow 4 tops for me out of that one cut but we will see how she responds to the training for the next several weeks. I also went ahead and cut off the first set of leaves at the bottom cause they weren't getting any light and I want to encourage the upper leaves to sprout up. This week everything kept on keeping on she's very healthy and vigorous in the top 2 in my garden right now for sure. I'm dying to start tying her up lol. You can see in my pictures there been a foundation wire since day 1 to tie her limbs to. And now it's almost time to start. She got her weekly worm tea. And I been trimming the clover like 3 times a week. I also did some work on my exhaust system today in preparation for the 2000 w led light which will definitely put out more heat than the veg light. And it was maintaining 81 with the light on now it's 75. That's all for this week thank you for reading about my grow and if you have any questions or comments feel free to hit me up if you like what you see hit that follow and let's watch her grow!!

Welcome to week 5 veg with critical kush from Barney's farm so far this has been a easy grow however I had to war a bit with some fungus nats I hot them with some diatomaceous earth and expect that should do the trick! The plant is forming nice strong structure and looks deficiency free all and all it's looking good so far.thanks for checking out my grow and hit that follow button so we can watch her grow!

Welcome to week 6 veg with critical kush from Barney's farm. This week I decided it was time to cut the clover and top dress with some organic dry fertilizers and about a inch of fresh living soil. When cutting the clover I found one of the worms I'd added to the pot about 8 weeks ago still just chilling and growing some weed for me.bone of the perks of the clover clippings the worms have fresh food and just live in the root zone of your container. I started stretching her out pretty good now with wire ties I want to open up the middle and push some more tops up from her middle for a even canopy. The way she grows is perfect for this as she seems to really want those nodes developed anyway they were protruding even before I cut the shade leaves out of the way. Other then that the fungus gnat issue is declining and I expect will extinguish now that there's no clover left to hide in. The girl is still healthy as can be and she's now under a stronger light I will likely transplant to a larger pot before flower! Im very happy with these genetics so far props to Barney's farm. Thanks for checking out my grie. See you guys next week hit that follow button and watch this lady grow!

She looking a bit rough after pulling some clones and some defoliation to de shade all her new tops but she's healthy and should spring back with robust vegetative growth! I transplanted her into a 7 gal smart pot which she will really appreciate in the coming weeks of growth. Thanks for keeping up with my grow! Week 4 flower down this plant is about done stretching and its bud formation is phenomenal. Very dense buds are in this plants future. Its staying on the squat side but the stem thickness is strong.

This was a great strain to work with and I'm happy with the results. This strain produces thick dense buds that hold weight after drying. It has a great smell and knock out high! Kudos to barneys farm your strains are always top notch! It's important for me to reiderate that this is a 100% organic grow no chemicals were used for the entirety of the grow. I use a combination of LST topping and defoliation to achieve the growth you see this plant was grown with just 300 w of actual draw from a cheap 2000 watt equivalent led grow light. I produce/make my own soil for my grows and nothing but water was given to the plant by me. I hope everyone enjoys the eye candy! Feel free to like comment or question me on anything you've seen im happy to help.

Hey there, cover crop are usually grown before you put the seedling in, the reason for that is because clover andother legumes cover crop will absorb the Nitrogen from the air and fixate it in the roots. The problem is that before doing this they check how much Nitrogen is in the soil and if there is a lot they will use it first and then they will fix the N from the air in their roots. You have to wait for the clover to flower before mulching it on the soil, that is when the Nitrogen content in the roots will be the most. In your diary the clover just takes some water & some nuts from your girl. The idea behind cover crops is really good but you need more information about how legumes fix the N. Happy growing from France. ✊

@FR_PhenoFinder, hey buddy thanks for the follow I'm following you aswell now I have had alot of outdoor grows I know alot of tricks and as for making the soil at your grow better it's not as hard as you might think or expensive if you plan ahead and amend the soil that is already there why don't you pm me and discuss your set up maybe I could help
FR_PhenoFinder
FR_PhenoFindercommented5 years ago
@kingmcdaid, no worries I might be a bit tensed :p I am actually reusing the soil of my autos that I harvested and I know the feeling behind reusing your soil trust me it's awesome, it's the first time I do it so I don't know if I did it well but I did put all my potting soil left with bamboo leaves (I have read they contain a lot of IMO) and mowed lawn, I also put compost and things like coffee ground and other things! Have you ever heard about Korean Natural Farming? I wonder if it is as "good" as living soil even if I know it's really really different ways of growing organic. Yes unfortunately that's why in idk 50/100 years, farmers that owns huge lands will have killed them all and they will have to grow hydroponic vertical farms everywhere. It is sad, and I think things are kind of the same in the USA or even worse because things are even bigger than in here. I saw that some people were already developing drone that would pollinate their crops due to the fact that a lot of the population of the pollinating insect have died. I agree with you 100% I want to do my own super soil but damn it's hard when you make the quick math like I can't do my super soil for huge girls outdoor it would take wayy too many money and too many time and I really have a problem like for instance about guerilla growing I don't want to get off the native soil and put my mix in it, the native soil is soooo fucking rich in MO, fungi and bacteria that works well with the local area, and except doing like a raided lasagna bed like 2/3 month before I really don't know how I could do super soil AND keep the native soil which I think is super important. Oh I see we don't have the same experience at all ! I am just a noob, but I try to grow as organic as possible, putting flowers and building shelters for auxiliary insects and feeding my soil as much as possible with surface composting, using hemp mulch and not tilling ! Thank you for your time I'll follow your little girls around :) Have a nice day mate !

Very interesting grow! Was thinking about living soil myself but, since I'm a new starter, a bit overwhelmed by the topic. Top shelf information in the comments discussion! Looking forward to watch and learn so keep it coming 😜 Big Up from Germany

@getsomeUbik, thanks man I appreciate believe it or not organics are actually easier than most other methods and they lend themselves well to new growers because they are more forgiving and easier to maintain. The microbiology may be complex but the microbes are doing the work for you mostly. I will report back weekly so be sure to come check it out. Thanks again for the follow and let me know if you have any specific questions.

Hey there, Very nice grow diary, complete and precise ! May I ask what is the reference for the 2000 W you are using here ? Peace. Steph
Steph_19
Steph_19commented4 years ago
@kingmcdaid Hi there, Understood. I usually run single strains at a time myself, 3 or 4 clones per run. I find it easier as they evolve quite the same way. I keep 2 different mother plants in veg so I can switch strains along the year though. I recommend the Wedding Gelato (zamnesia) if you liked the Critical Kush. Wish you a great next one with the classic Mars Hydro ! Peace. Steph
kingmcdaid
kingmcdaidcommented4 years ago
@Steph_19,I appreciate your compliment. Documenting the grow is the difficult part for me. 2000 watts is a statement of supposed equivalency. Actual draw would be around 300-350 watts. And there were multiple plants of different strains sharing space during this grow it was a rather difficult undertaking to say the least. My latest grow will be a single strain using the sog method. I hope this will dissolve a significant degree of complexity this grow and dial in my results I've also since switched to a mars hydro tsw2000 which my research indicates should help drastically.
