28/Jun Things are better in terms of temperature, the room AC definitely helps a lot. My water out of the tap is at 7.5PH. I put some water in my watering can and let it sit for 24 hours and now it measures at 8.1PH. I am not sure what approach to take regarding PH and I am not sure if the Manure in the soil will lower or increase the PH. I think I will not water today and wait until tomorrow for the soil to get a little drier. I am thinking of adding squeezed lemon juice in the water to bring it down a little. I think 6.8-7.0PH would be better but I am not sure what PPM i am having. I need to invest in a water analyzer to get EC/PPM readings. I see little fly like insects on the soil, they must be Gnats. I have installed a yellow sticky trap, let's see how may i will catch. PS: I have started sprouting a White Widow Auto and will add it in the tent in the coming days but will start a new diary for it. - Highest temperature is 27.9C - Lowest temperature is 26.0C 26/Jun Light has been switched to only White until there is some more growth since the Blue spectrum and additional intensity might compact the plant and make it shorter and denser than desired (the opposite of stretching due to lack of light). I will not water today but the top soil is significantly drier. I will wait 1 more day and then add some water directly where the plant is instead of full watering with run-off etc. - Kept the tent open to get more cool air for the air-conditioned room. - Bought a new thermometer that shows max and min temperature of the last 24 hours. - Temperature in the tent is now at 25C. 25/Jun Lights have been running on 24h on both White and Blue. - Temperature is high compared to what I read on-line. The AC was off between 19:00 yesterday and 09:00 this morning and during the night the tent has reached 35C. I will try to get another fun, see if it makes any difference. - Soil is still a little wet. I will not water yet. Maybe in two days. 23/Jun Lights have been adjusted to both White and Blue. - Temperature a bit high at 31c. Room AC running between 09:00 and 19:00 at 26c on low fan settings. - Removed a bottom Velcro cover from the tent in order to get some air in from the cool air in the room. Not sure how much it helps. Might need to lower AC temp because there is a heatwave coming in the next few days. I'll see how it goes and adjust accordingly. - Both seedlings showed up :) 21/Jun Seeds have just sprouted and planted in their pots. The two 14l pots take up almost 100% of the available space in the tent. - The pots contain aprox. 10% Manure, 20% Perlite, 70% Soil. - Light is set only on White, this keeps the temperature lower than when in full blast (White, Blue, Red).

My Saga LEDs have 3 settings: White, blue and red. I believe that White is early vegetative stage, blue is vegetative and red is flowering. For autos, after they reach a height of 20cm, shall I turn on all 3 switches or follow blue for veg and red for flowering?

Thanks NorCal_Kannabliss, I understand what you are saying but will it be better to have all switches on for more light (lumens and watt) across the whole spectrum or it will cause problems to the plants?

1. Vegetative Stage – “Blue” light for healthy leaves (range: 400-500nm; ideal: 460nm) During the vegetative stage it is recommended to aim for as many leaves as possible, and to make sure plants stay rather compact, don’t stretch too much, and develop strong stems. Indoor growers tend to use metal halide bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL’s), or T5/T8 lighting fixtures with a blue band of light for the first few weeks to achieve these goals. When cannabis grows in nature, the high angle of the sun in spring and summer allows more “blue” wave lengths to penetrate through the atmosphere, a signal for cannabis plants to grow strong, large and healthy leaves. 2. Flowering Period – “Red” light for giant buds (range: 620-780nm; ideal: 660nm) When cannabis plants enter the flowering period, highest yields can be achieved by exposing them to a light spectrum that contains lots of “red” wave lengths to promote budding. The rate of photosynthesis peaks when plants are subjected to “red” wave lengths of 660nm although latest NASA findings suggest that even “green” wave lengths, which are not associated as a major factor in photosynthesis, can also have an impact on how plants grow. Seeing a cannabis plant as simple photosynthesis factory is consequently a little hasty. But for now, choosing a lighting solution with a high degree of “red” in its spectrum remains the best way for growers to imitate the shallow angle of the sun in late summer and autumn. Hope this helps. Happy Growing! 🤟😜

Is it safe to lower the water PH with freshly squeezed lemon juice? Tap water is at 7.5, I am thinking of adding lemon juice to bring it down to 6. 5.
