02/Jul Yesterdays watering seems to have boost the growth and development of both plants. - Green Gelato shows some light green colour shades in the middle. Maybe Potassium (K) excess. I will keep an eye on it. - Royal AK going well, boosted growth but a little smaller than the Green Gelato. - Last 24 hours max temp is 29.9C and lowest is 26.0C 01/Jul Everything going well. There has been a heatwave these days but the plants seem to be doing great. - Watered around 1l of water per plant. - Lemon Juice was added in the water. PH @ 6.4 30/Jul Green Gelato showing faster development than Royal AK but both doing well. - Today marks day 10 :) still haven't watered since the first day. I think they can wait a bit longer until their next watering. 29/Jul Lights running at 24/7. The soil has dried a bit more but I don't see any signs of thirst (is that even a thing?) on the plants. I will leave them as is for now. Maybe I will water them tomorrow. I should investigate a little bit more on lowering the PH of my water using lemon juice. Maybe too early, as the plants are still very young? - The fly trap caught very few gnats but I don't see them running around any more. I will leave it there and monitor the situation.

My Saga LEDs have 3 settings: White, blue and red. I believe that White is early vegetative stage, blue is vegetative and red is flowering. For autos, after they reach a height of 20cm, shall I turn on all 3 switches or follow blue for veg and red for flowering?

Thanks NorCal_Kannabliss, I understand what you are saying but will it be better to have all switches on for more light (lumens and watt) across the whole spectrum or it will cause problems to the plants?

1. Vegetative Stage – “Blue” light for healthy leaves (range: 400-500nm; ideal: 460nm) During the vegetative stage it is recommended to aim for as many leaves as possible, and to make sure plants stay rather compact, don’t stretch too much, and develop strong stems. Indoor growers tend to use metal halide bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL’s), or T5/T8 lighting fixtures with a blue band of light for the first few weeks to achieve these goals. When cannabis grows in nature, the high angle of the sun in spring and summer allows more “blue” wave lengths to penetrate through the atmosphere, a signal for cannabis plants to grow strong, large and healthy leaves. 2. Flowering Period – “Red” light for giant buds (range: 620-780nm; ideal: 660nm) When cannabis plants enter the flowering period, highest yields can be achieved by exposing them to a light spectrum that contains lots of “red” wave lengths to promote budding. The rate of photosynthesis peaks when plants are subjected to “red” wave lengths of 660nm although latest NASA findings suggest that even “green” wave lengths, which are not associated as a major factor in photosynthesis, can also have an impact on how plants grow. Seeing a cannabis plant as simple photosynthesis factory is consequently a little hasty. But for now, choosing a lighting solution with a high degree of “red” in its spectrum remains the best way for growers to imitate the shallow angle of the sun in late summer and autumn. Hope this helps. Happy Growing! 🤟😜

Is it safe to lower the water PH with freshly squeezed lemon juice? Tap water is at 7.5, I am thinking of adding lemon juice to bring it down to 6. 5.
