18/Jul Royal AK has been doing pretty well. I have started LST the last few days and it is reacting pretty well. I am adding a little water here and there in the range of 200ml every 48 hours. - Average temperature is 27.0C. - Both Blue and White spectrum LEDs are on at this poing and the plant seems to be liking it. 15/Jul I have made the decision to kill the Green Gelato. There is something about my environment that this plant doesn't agree with. I will try the strain again when the weather gets colder. 12/Jul Green Gelato: The Green Gelato doesn't look promising at all at this stage. There is major colour difference on the leaves and they are turning yellow. I believe that this is some kind of PH and/or poor watering practices. Royal AK: The Royal AK is doing very well! The colour of the leafs has a good shade of green without any spots. I have started some LST (perhaps too early) and I am very happy with the health of the plant so far. I have increased the distance from the light to 90cm to stretch them a little bit because the way things are going it looks like the plants will be very compact. The AC is running almost 24/7 because there is a major heatwave with temps over 40C. 07/Jul The plants are growing. Added 500ml of water on each plant. 06/Jul Plants are showing substantial growth compared to last week. The leafes on the Green Gelato are showing some difference in color (brighter green) and I am thinking that it is because of the lemon juice added in the previous watering. The Royal AK appears to be healthier in terms of color. I have decided not to mess with pH anymore and provide the 7.5PH tap water untreated to see how it goes. Temperatures: - Max: 31C - Min: 25C

My Saga LEDs have 3 settings: White, blue and red. I believe that White is early vegetative stage, blue is vegetative and red is flowering. For autos, after they reach a height of 20cm, shall I turn on all 3 switches or follow blue for veg and red for flowering?

Thanks NorCal_Kannabliss, I understand what you are saying but will it be better to have all switches on for more light (lumens and watt) across the whole spectrum or it will cause problems to the plants?

1. Vegetative Stage – “Blue” light for healthy leaves (range: 400-500nm; ideal: 460nm) During the vegetative stage it is recommended to aim for as many leaves as possible, and to make sure plants stay rather compact, don’t stretch too much, and develop strong stems. Indoor growers tend to use metal halide bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL’s), or T5/T8 lighting fixtures with a blue band of light for the first few weeks to achieve these goals. When cannabis grows in nature, the high angle of the sun in spring and summer allows more “blue” wave lengths to penetrate through the atmosphere, a signal for cannabis plants to grow strong, large and healthy leaves. 2. Flowering Period – “Red” light for giant buds (range: 620-780nm; ideal: 660nm) When cannabis plants enter the flowering period, highest yields can be achieved by exposing them to a light spectrum that contains lots of “red” wave lengths to promote budding. The rate of photosynthesis peaks when plants are subjected to “red” wave lengths of 660nm although latest NASA findings suggest that even “green” wave lengths, which are not associated as a major factor in photosynthesis, can also have an impact on how plants grow. Seeing a cannabis plant as simple photosynthesis factory is consequently a little hasty. But for now, choosing a lighting solution with a high degree of “red” in its spectrum remains the best way for growers to imitate the shallow angle of the sun in late summer and autumn. Hope this helps. Happy Growing! 🤟😜

Is it safe to lower the water PH with freshly squeezed lemon juice? Tap water is at 7.5, I am thinking of adding lemon juice to bring it down to 6. 5.
