Having a hard time figuring out how to add nutrients to the list but I’ll write it out here. I mixed Coco, Castings, Pro Mix, and Perlite. I then amended the mixture with dry amendments. Gaia Green - All Purpose Fertilizer Power Bloom Oyster Shell Flour Glacial Rock Dust Miscellaneous- Humid/Fulvic Acid Bokashi Bran Epsom Salt I then “cooked” the substrate for about 10 days. Popped the seeds with crop kings glass of water and paper towel method. I then added the germinated seed directly into the 7 gallon pots and let them sit in a window sill until they emerged from the soil. At this point I moved the pots to my balcony. My first grow ever so I’m really looking forward to learning.

Growth in week two has been pretty good. As it’s my first grow I’m not sure if it’s great but it seems “good”. I don’t think they’re growing as fast as I’d like but I’m happy so far. I’ve only been watering every two days about half a litre per plant. I’m hoping that my substrate has enough nutrients to sustain the plant through its entire life cycle but I will top dress and add some cal mag if needed.

Week three saw some very nice growth even though we had some crappy weather days. Not a lot of rain but just very hot, very muggy, very cloudy. Only a few days of good sun. Plants are drinking more water so I’ve upped the water intake. On day 21 I decided to start some LST. My first time doing so, hope I didn’t stress them out too much. No extra nutrients Added yet, still hoping the substrate provides enough all the way through.

The plants have really started to take off this week. More than doubled in size and they’ve taken well to the LST. Mid week I retrained them and I think I’ll leave them like this for now. I noticed on day 28 that two of the plants are showing some pistils. Looks like they’re jumping into flower on week 5! Haven’t added any additional nutrients yet as the plants aren’t showing any signs of needing them. Looking forward to seeing how week 5 goes!

First time grow here. Question about when to add more nutrients. I amended the soil with organic amendments and plan on top dressing the soil. Any tips on when I should add some more nutrients would be appreciated.

Well I think I found a red spider mite. It was bright red and super fast. I managed to kill it but now I’m worried the plants may get infested. What can I do NOW to stop this in its tracks?

Buy some right now treatments like neem etc. But order a bottle of old stage green cleaner asap. It is the ultimate mite killer, it also does an impressive job on powdery mildew. When added with neem oil you can be mite free up to about 2.months

This could be a major problem here's a link below that will certainly help with your spider mite issue. https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/how-to-get-rid-of-spider-mites

Keep an eye on them. I had a few a couple days ago, now I'm just watching and waiting. If I find more I'll do the neem oil deal...if you see anymore read up on neem oil. I am.

LST continued but one of them sort of just straightened itself out. The other two I think will have some nice even bud sites. They started to flower about two days into week 5. I too dressed the soil with some bat guano and Gaia green power bloom to keep up with phosphorous needs. They’re getting much much taller and bud sites are popping up all over. Continuing to monitor for nutrient needs.

What a week for growth. The plants have doubled in size. The one on the right kind of powered through LST and is a few inches taller then the rest. The shorter plant in the middle has the most bud sites. Found a few of the leaves have some burnt tips. I’m suspecting nutrient burn, I may have added a bit too much guano and 2-8-4..... regardless the plants are looking fantastic.

It would seem that I top dressed with a bit too much bat guano and 2-8-4 at the start of flower. As I’m using dry amendments I’m not sure I can flush the plant. Any suggestions? The one leaf in the photo was the absolute worst, most other leaves just have some crispy tips.

Sure you can flush its just not as effective as slightly more is released with every water contact. But more is removed than released, thats why one doesnt water to any real run off in organic growing. That said cant say how things will turn out. Good luck

Very easy week, great weather. Very very slight nutrient burn from the previous week but the plants bounced back. No added nutrients at all this week. Some slight trichome development started this week.

The plants are on their 4th week of flower. noticed today that quite a few fan leaves are dying on the lower parts of the plants. Are the nutrients too low? Buds are growing fatter and trichome are developing but I’m worried there’s not enough nutrients to get it through flowe

Hello So personally I think your plants in this weeks photos look amazing. Very healthy green. But if you're getting those bottom yellow leaves you may need to give a small increase in nitrogen. However be mindful of the fact that most plants do start to have some yellowing leaves the further it goes into flowering. So if you are losing a few leaves that is ok...but too many too quickly is bad and you would need to rethink your level of nutrients. Sometimes the lower ph can cause yellowing too...below 6.2 especially. Happy flowering. ✌️

If you have a tester, next time you water check the first bit of runoff and see what ec your at. You'll know if your low. Cheers

Older leaves will often die and leaves in the shade too much as well. To be safe, check closely for pests, especially on the underside of the leaves. Also give your pot a couple hard smacks and see if anything is crawling around in your soil. If not, just make sure you're not overwatering and you pH is good.

Great week for the girls. They looked a bit hungry so I brewed up a compost tea with castings, guano, compost, and 2-8-4 power bloom. This should be the last feeding until harvest. Now I just gotta hope the humidity stays relatively low so I don’t lose anything to bud rot. Trichomes are coming in strong and pistils are starting to turn a brownish red.

Well.... that was a very cold, very rainy week. I was pretty worried about bud rot setting in but it warmed up near the end of the week and I think we’re in the clear. The smells coming off these plants are amazing! Very bright and citrusy. I think the middle plant, which is the shortest, is going to provide the biggest buds and maybe even yield. Its super fat. Anyway, just watering from here on out, few more weeks to go!

Very tough week for the three girls. The skinniest plant with the least bud was hit with some bud rot. It was so cold and so wet all last week that the plants were soaking wet. I brought them in this week every time there was rain. By the end of the week the sun was out and the humidity down. To prevent any more bud rot I did a moderate defoliation on all three plants. I may have gone a bit overboard out of panic I would lose the crop...... Needless to say we’re heading into the home stretch. No signs of nutrient deficiencies so I’m confident I can just water now until harvest. Wish me luck :)

Not the best week for the girls.... Bud rot struck my fattest plant, I clipped out the affected areas but accidentally clipped off the top of the main cola.... I cleaned it up and dried it out anyway....pretty mad about it. Cool humid weather brings back my bud rot concerns, I’ve only lost Potentially 5-6 grams so far but I’m in my last week here, maybe 9-10 days left. Big thunderstorm today when I was away soaked them again, I’ve brought them Inside and placed a fan on them. Fingers crossed for some hot dry weather to finish them off.

Another very wet and very cold week. I discovered more bud rot...... However the majority of the trichomes are cloudy and some are amber. No fading as I believe I added too much nutrient to the soil. Having said that Two of the girls came Down on Friday. The ones I found rot on. I don’t want to risk losing the whole crop. The third came down yesterday. Wet trimmed to allow as much air flow as possible. They smell fantastic.

Didn’t get as much flower as expected but it did turn out very good. Potent citrus and gassy smell. Mellow high, pretty smooth even before cure. Lost a big chunk to bud rot but I’m very happy with my first ever grow.

It grew exactly as crop king specified. Very easy to grow. Fast and efficient. Didn’t need the 7 gallon pots and would probably do 5 gallon next time.
